Yep. He has 1 year left in Houston or less. Make it "less" and get value. Let Dealin' Dana work.

Word is Bregman sold his Houston house already.
Yeah, but it was a penthouse condo in River Oaks. It has a very large balcony/grill area, but he'd be selling that either way because Knox is a toddler and needs a yard. They also bought a house in Arizona. In an Astros FB group about half the members seemed to think he grew up in Arizona. LOL! Not sure when Albuquerque moved.

Alex is not going to be happy
The listing has him as a second round pick out of LSU, instead of the second overall pick

Now we know he's going to an Arizona spring league squad.

Bregman and Meyers to the Mets.
Astros get Baty, Gilbert, and Vasil.
There, I can now be a MLB Network expert. Just like Ryno.

Source: Astros manager Joe Espada will promote Omar López to bench coach, while hiring Dave Clark as 1B coach. Jason Bell will be quality assurance coach (Dan Firova's role last year). Bell was Minor League field coordinator/asst. director player development.
The rest of the staff will remain the same.

The same Dave Clark that was a former assistant from like 10-15 years ago?

What is DAT's feeling on Bregman? Has he played his last game in an Astros uniform?

They aren’t going to trade him

Don't see him going anywhere. If we're to compete in 2024, dumping Bregman puts a massive hole in the lineup.
But it is funny to see Yankee fans creaming themselves over the thought of adding a disgraced cheater to their lineup. Booooooooooooooo booooooooooooo! Cheater! Booooooooooo please come to New York!

Just once I want the new 1B coach to throw in a “Catch us if you Can” in an interview.

Two people familiar with the Astros’ thinking dismissed the notion of trading Bregman, but that doesn’t mean Houston isn’t at least listening to what other clubs could offer. It would be negligent not to. Ditto for Tucker, if teams were to inquire.
Both players are borderline irreplaceable for the 2024 Astros, but would bring the sort of return that could ameliorate some of the long-term concerns. Brown’s task is to balance both needs. The team is, first and foremost, committed to championship contention in 2024.
If Houston wants to pare payroll, fortify its farm system and still remain a legitimate World Series contender in 2024, trading from its starting pitching surplus makes far more sense than dealing Bregman or Tucker. And if it’s something Houston does explore, Framber Valdez and José Urquidy profile as the group’s most expendable members.

Today in off season news....nothing happened.
This is going to be the dullest off season ever. Once we get into February and March, we'll probably get a backup catcher and bargain bin reliever Once everything has been picked over.

Is there any rumor of teams sniffing around Tyler Bowers?
