MLB controls the roof being open/closed during playoffs if I’m not mistaken, and they’re a bunch of idiots. If the weather permits and is nice open that bitch up!!

I think the players would prefer closed since that's what they're used to ..home-field advantage is lessened if the players are less familiar with the field conditions ( wind)

Other way around for the World Series in ‘05. Astros wanted it closed. MLB had it open, probably a Bud Selig favor to his good friend, White Sox owner Jerry Reinsdorf. Those are the only 2 postseason games where the roof has been open. Draw your own conclusions. But this is why Astros fans don’t trust MLB on anything.

USMNT is currently in a 1-1 match with Costa Rica at the half.

Driving in from NOLA on Saturday to see the game. Prices are hovering around 180 (after fees) for the cheap seats right now on Stub Hub.
How low do you see tickets going?

I got 2017 game 7 ALCS tickets for $150 (including fees) the day of the game. Was on the extreme right field side in the bullpen boxes and had to deal with the foul pole but no big deal.

I was there
Game 3 was longest WS game up to that point
Ended on Blum HR off Astacio at about 1:20 am
The two 7 yo’s in our group had frostbite. MMP sold out of long sleeves and anything winter worn
I would still kick Selig in the nuts and piss on his grave

Great reference point! I’ll wait it out some more

Slightly off topic… have we discussed that the Qualifying Offer amount this year has been announced? Officially set at $18.4 million.
Correa and Verlander are locks to get a QO.
I can see Correa’s agent telling Astros that if they do submit a QO, the. They 100% will not entertain any Astros offer for a new contract and will be playing for someone else next season.
So, depending on how serious Crane is about re-signing Correa, perhaps they don’t offer a QO?
Personally, I think he’s gone.l, no matter what. Best to get a draft pick. Use the money on Ted and Yordan.

Well, funny you bring this up
I was unable to watch most of the game yesterday, so watching DVR now
Meyers just jammed his shoulder into the CF wall
Correa is the unquestionable leader of this team. He was out there pronto and handled it like a pro
We are going to miss him dearly. We must get some compensation when he leaves
There is no way we can afford everyone. But Diaz isn’t going to cut it for half a season

Have we heard anything on LMJ’s status?

There is a 100% chance we offer a QO. It won’t make a difference, Correa is the absolute best free agent on the market. If we were to make a competitive contract offer disregarding it out of spite would be terrible business
