Dan Patrick either does a great job of carrying the water of agents leaking bad info to drum up more interest in their clients or he's clueless. No idea which one

He’ll be back at OSU or Florida

Y'all remember when Dan Patrick was a respected sports voice?

Yeesh.

ASU - He'd have to share the coeds with the players, and that isn't happening.

Nebraska - 0 percent chance that fan base accepts him. He is the complete opposite of everything they cherish and stand for.

Urban will never go back to the SEC unless they pay him like $20M/yr or something.

He will always try to go somehere where he has the advantage.

Neither Nebraska nor AZ State fit that mold, but maybe he's desparate to get back into coaching. If so, then more could be in play here.

He needs to go to Wisconsin, cakewalk schedule outside of the years they have both Ohio State and Michigan. Push-button 4*+ stacked OL that only needs a few skill players to make the upward transition into an annual CFP-caliber team.

Urban may return to coaching at some point, but it ain’t gonna be to Nebraska or ASU c‘mon. After Saban, he’s arguably the most successful coach of the modern era.

I could see somewhere like Texas or Notre Dame, maybe others, but it’ll be a big name with a big budget.

He would not fit at ND

Texas? Very possible. But he would want a level of control that, to date, the boosters are unwilling to give.

Can you imagine Urban at ASU

I could actually.

Urban Meyer is 58.

Steve Spurrier took the South Carolina job (and almost took North Carolina instead) at 60 after failing miserably in the NFL.

Just saying. Don't discount a school like ASU, especially if the Pac survives.

Nebraska would be a good spot for him on a redemption tour

I think it’d be really interesting for sure. Would be a good experiment on location. I’d assume they’d give him just about everything he’d want and he’s a great coach.

Dabo is 2-2 in NCG at Clemson with an 80% winning percentage. Urban is 3-0 in NCG at two different schools, and has been to BCS/CFP games at three with a career 85% winning percentage. Comparing college careers only so it’s more apples to apples.

Both are on the short list, and it’s subjective but I find Meyer’s more impressive personally.

Clemson has slipped a bit the past couple of years, so can Dabo bring them back to NC contention? Maybe, remains to be seen.

SEC schedule is irrelevant, everyone is about to be playing a pretty equal schedule.

We can hope for this but no one has produced a plan that would result in this.

People have been very careful not to show a full schedule with the 3-6 proposal that is allegedly the most likely outcome.

Why? Because when you try to work this out at least one of the big name schools will have a significant difference in scheduling difficulty (very hard to relatively easy) half of the time.

What he does or does not win post Venables will shape the Dabo narrative.

Unless they have a bigger desire to get back to winning.

They are so desperate to win again I doubt they would care about his past antics

I can't imagine any future SEC schedule that doesn't involve Auburn playing Alabama every season. And if there's a 3-6 schedule, Auburn would probably play Georgia every season.

Maybe statistically but nobody thinks Dabo is anywhere near the kind of coach Meyer is

Why not UCLA? Chip Kelly is toast and they are going to the B10? They have a bigger pocketbook than ASU and Nebraska is a crappy recruiting ground.
