I know Curtis still typically plays a pretty tough out of district schedule, but they still get to play in their 3A district during the regular season?

Yes.

Guess it is to late to adjust that for this coming season. Hopefully they will fix if for next season.

With Evangel and Curtis playing up now I wonder if this could lead the way of ending the split?

Actually if Curtis or Evangel wins it may hasten the split.

Why can't they play with they belong based on enrollment? Nothing wrong with 2 a or whatever.

I don't think they ever intend to change districts as set up for all sports according to total student enrollment. The current bracket splits and all of the complaining by public schools is roughly 98% about state football championships.

They should've just let this happen before the dumb split. Now look how foolish the LHSAA looks.

We will finally get a true state champion.

Evangel, Curtis, the New Orleans Catholic League, St. Thomas Moore and BR Catholic all in the same playoff.

We will get a true private champion. But now it will always be who was better/true champion between D1 and 5a

Not sure why people keep lumping them in with programs the caliber of Evangel and Curtis.

When they finally get a new coach they will be a wrecking force. Just look at baseball. Now, it may be another 15 years before that happens

Who is "people"? One guy on the MSB? He also lumped in "the New Orleans Catholic League" with that group.

Districts will be the same due to ease of scheduling local teams.

Not just one guy. That's just the one comment in this thread. But living in Baton Rouge for the past 10 years, Catholic is usually a preseason "contender" but almost always fall flat. People around here almost seemed surprised when they don't make it past the 1st or 2nd round of the playoffs.

And, yes, the same could be said about much of the Catholic League as well....maybe even all of the Catholic League prior to Rummel's recent run of fortune.

Without West Monroe, Acadiana, Barbe, and the River Parishes it's still not a "true" champion.
