Irsay has been absent from the last 2-3 owner meetings. He’s rarely been seen in public over the last several months. Each of his daughters have been assigned a role in the Colts organization since 2012. His eldest daughter will be the President/CEO and represents the Colts organization at owners’ meetings.

Jim’s sports and music memorabilia collection has over 500 items of premier highly valuable stuff. He turned down $1 Billion from a Saudi businessman who offered to buy the entire collection. The guitars previously owned by Jerry Garcia, David Gilmour, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Beck, etc .. will eventually get auctioned by Sotheby’s and likely double what he paid

Irsay-Gordon first worked for the Colts in the ticket office and was subsequently involved in the marketing department and the strategies used by the sales team and ticket office.[7][5]

Irsay-Gordon has represented the team at ownership meetings since 2004.[8] She was made a team vice-president in 2008.[9]

In March 2012, Irsay-Gordon and her sisters Casey Foyt (born February 10, 1983[1]) and Kalen Irsay-Jackson were announced as co-owners of the Colts, with the two younger sisters officially added as vice-presidents.[10] Irsay-Gordon's father, Jim Irsay, stated that he intends the team to entirely pass to his daughters.[11] Irsay-Gordon was then named as chair of the Colts in March 2014 shortly after Jim Irsay was arrested and entered a rehabilitation facility for drug use.[8]

That’s a lot of hyphens. Sounds like the woke lobby will get more say at the owner’s meetings.

I think he does, he puts a lot of stupid stuff out there. The year they took Richardson, he was asking if they they should draft Levis in the second round. He was bragging about getting a 3rd for Wentz after giving up a 1st.

Or, they have a famous last name and it makes more sense from a business perspective to maintain the direct ties to the family.

RIP Mr Irsay, dude lived his life to the fullest.
When did we accept that doing drugs and fricking hookers is living life to the fullest? That's certainly not how I'd describe living life to the fullest.

What’s his story?

When I lived in Indiana people loved him. A very authentic & generous man is what I heard. He also was a character

Came off as a really cool, chill dude. Basically the opposite of his father, did you know he played football for SMU as a walk-on during the Pony Express years? Fun fact!

Also, I hate to speak ill of the dead but anyone else think the Colts might improve now? He was a pretty meddlesome owner.

He was the GM of the team before he inherited it from his father so it makes sense, him meddling in the management like he did

He let Caldwell pull the starters and removed the Colts' probability of an undefeated season (as well as downgraded the experience of those who bought tickets to the game.)

He was officially 65 when he died. But at least 100 in wear and tear.
