not that bad really. Prado comes back and its right back to where it is now.

The bench is still loaded with starting quality players. Plus there's always Hudson available as a pinch hitter.

call Freeman up
Don't want to call him up unless he will start though. He's better off staying down and playing everyday until the rosters expand next month. I think I'm ready to see him though.

Well the bench is still good but now Omar's not a bench/utility guy. That hurts, there's no way around it. Now you might see more of a guy like Diory Hernandez which isn't really a good thing.

I think we should call up Wily Taveras

As long as Conrad continues to drop pinch hit game winning home runs I think we'll be fine.

Well, yeah of course. But if he got called up he would get his AB's vs righties and Glaus would get them against lefties. Plus it would be nice for him to be able to play in the postseason and that won't happen unless it gets called up in the next two weeks

But as I said, theres very little chance of this happening. Brandon Hicks will most likely be the guy

If he is done, that was a great play to go out on

Yea no doubt. After he made the play I was jacked up and turned my head to say "damn fine play" to my buddy then when I looked back to the tv he was laid out like a sniper had just picked him off from the upper decks. At that point I figured he was done.

Cox has said that prado was the best defensive third baseman on the team.

prado can play 3rd. infante to 2nd..

honestly infante is not great at any position.. but he is decent-to-good at every single one of them.

I think he's looked pretty good at second, better than at any of the other positions, which is not really surprising.

Maybe, but when you have Agon and Glaus in your infield, Infante seems like a pretty damn good infielder.

Damn. This sucks.

I didn't think I'd be this upset about it. Atleast I got to see the last home game for chipper ever though.

I know - I don't think the reality of it has really set in yet. I started as a huge fan and a big follower of the team during his rookie year. Hopefully (and I'm sure of it), they'll be a really nice tribute for him at TF before the year is up. He's earned every bit of it.

That would be really cool and something you'd always remember

We'll see if he retires or not. I still think there's a small chance he comes back depending on how the season turns out and how he's feeling in the offseason

He shouldn't have tried to be such a hot shot and make that play on Pence. His own fault. j/k sucks to see him go out like this. Maybe the last home game the Braves can send him up to the plate and have him announced but then call him back so he can get the ovation he deserves.

I'll give you Glaus, but AGon is a damn good defensive shortstop.
