Price is irrelevant. It’s about people liking football and their community. It’s the exact same thing

That high school looks like a college campus, it is impressive.

Having been everywhere and living in Atlanta twice, I can tell you the rest of the country doesn’t realize how amazing Atlanta suburb High Schools are. One after another with sprawling beautiful campuses.

The Atlanta suburbs are ripe with transplants. Guys in a wealthy area that is already made up with a ton of transplants are just more likely to leave the state. No curse, just demographics.

WTF. That's a legit FCS stadium. Heck, I'd wager it's probably nicer and bigger than most FCS stadiums.

But Buford does have a legit football program. I don't really follow high school sports anymore, but when I was in school, I'm pretty sure Buford won state 4 years straight.

Of course, it's no secret that Gwinnett is mostly made up of transpalnts that didnt' grow up here and have no real life-long attachment to UGA. That is understandable and makes perfect sense.

HOWEVER, it is almost hard to fathom that that high a number of 4 and 5 star rated recruits can play ball less than an hour's drive from a program that has been top 5 nationally for the last decade and practically NONE of them end up going there. Statistically it's almost incomprehensible. NObody is saying that they should be a pipelin ad everyone should go to UGA, but hell you'd think that just by accident we'd get one every couple years.

The first 4, 5, 6 years that every one of their star players go elsewhere...ok fine that's kine strange but hey whatever. Once it gets to be 7, 8, 9+ years it's not an accienet anymore and it's 100% intentional. Same with Grayson, they had former bama players running the show for a while and actively steered kids away from UGA.

I just can't believe people buy suites for high school games.

We call it the University of Buford here in Atlanta for a reason.

High School football is big business here.

Buford also has Bama ties on their staff.

But you aren't wrong about Grayson and Buford. They've held a grudge against UGA since the Richt days. You'd think they'd of got over it w/Kirby running the show now, but nope.

This is the view of someone who doesn't live in Metro Atlanta.

It's a lot more to it than that.

Every state seems to have one program like that. For USC it's Bosco.

1995 SW Dekalb. Greatest high school football team ever.

Every starter on offense and defense from this team played D-1 football.

Not sure how much it cost to build (in the’70’s, I think), but have you ever been to Bogalusa High School’s football stadium? My, how times change.

My niece and nephew went to BUFORD. It blows anything in the country out of the water. Better than most college stadiums
