Seems like you could find better things to do with 84 mill but this phenomenon has been happening in Texas for a while.

Not even close to the truth. The Buford curse is well known and understood by UGA fans.
Owen Pappoe, Justice Haynes and many others have been expected, even committed, to UGA for years and never attended. KJ Bolden and Jaden Perlotte may break it, but until then, the Buford curse is real.

i know right..I think we've gotten like 3 kids from buford in the last 20 years, compared to roughly a few dozen that have either been interested in us or even committed to us then spurned us at the 11th hour over the same time frame.
Buforrd and Grayson are both major programs an hour from Athens that have staff there that for one reason or another simply have lifelong hate-boners for UGA and do anything they can to steer kids away from it. It's wild.
