I lived two miles from that stadium for 25 years. Its basically a small college now

From 2012 to 2022, LSU's starting long snapper was a Buford graduate

Yep. A lot of money up there on the southern end of Lake Lanier.

can tell you the rest of the country doesn’t realize how amazing Atlanta suburb High Schools are. One after another with sprawling beautiful campuses.
McEachern >>>> all of them. Granted it was once an actual college but the campus is beyond beautiful. It’s unfortunate what it’s become in the last 15-20 years

Happens at every Hoover High School home game.

The Stinchcombs were nasty dudes in high school.

Pappoe was a Grayson grad, not Buford.
But as has been said, not too many Grayson football players end up at UGA. I know one is currently at Tech, but most end up out of state if they play P5.

It's basically UGA's minor league team
UGA has 1 HS recruit (Bolden) and 1 incoming transfer from Buford. No one else on the roster as currently published on their website is from Buford.

But you aren't wrong about Grayson and Buford. They've held a grudge against UGA since the Richt days. You'd think they'd of got over it w/Kirby running the show now, but nope.
Georgia Tech has similar issues with Woodward Academy and Wheeler.
The Wheeler basketball coach for whatever reason absolutely hated Bobby Cremins and we couldn't sign anyone out of there. The first couple of Wheeler players we got in a long time were transfers. The talent that has come out of that program and gone on to play for out of state schools (Looking at you Shareef Abdur Rahim and Jaylen Brown) is astounding.
We just hired Jess Simpson to coach the DLine in hopes that he can break into the Buford pipeline. He won 7 state championships at Buford so you'd think he has some pull. Not that we are getting the 5-stars or upper tier 4 stars but theere is a ton of talent there that we could benefit from. Kenyatta Watson is also on staff for his Grayson connection. Our starting RB went there, so that's a start.

I'd throw the Muyres brothers in there as well.

Jon didn't do a whole lot at Tech but Jeremy was a damned good safety. 12 INTs in his career and started as a true freshman at a time when the program was doing really well.

Not even close to the truth. The Buford curse is well known and understood by UGA fans.
Owen Pappoe, Justice Haynes and many others have been expected, even committed, to UGA for years and never attended. KJ Bolden and Jaden Perlotte may break it, but until then, the Buford curse is real.
Isn't Raiola, who decomitted from UGA at the last minute, from Buford?
It's a football factory, for sure. They had 3 5 star players in the same class this year, right?

his family "moved" to Buford after committing to UGA. He wasn't a Buford guy that committed to UGA

McEachern has a very large private endowment for a high school. That is the reason it is much nicer than other Cobb County schools.
Buford is a city school and gets all the tax money from the city of Buford and does not have to share with other Gwinnett county schools. Some one once said it was a public school with private school money. They have grown from a single A school to the highest classification in a very short time

Ahh. Yeah, I forgot about that.

So they’re building this in ATL but the Catholic League is going to play at shitty Gormley again with a crappy scoreboard and crappy concessions for another year when Jesuit, HC, BM, and St Aug could easily come up with the millions needed to build something like this

McEachern started out as a college. That's where their endowment comes from.
