I’m a huge bregman fan. This is definitely not a good look and him and the weather man is a text book example of why Twitter for pro athletes is a bad idea. With that said he absolutely loves the game and absolutely hates losing. I can take a guy with his work ethic and effort as a leader on the stros anyday. Even if it comes with the baggage on Twitter.

That's not even close to being true.

Banging into the wall right before it would have hit his glove....easy.

Parra would not have made that catch. If you watch the replay the ball barely grazed the fan’s glove and the ball’s path prior to that was not headed to Parra’s glove.

You know what, I just saw the video of this hit- was listening to the Rockies radio call last night when this happened. This should not have been overturned. If they dont want fan interference there then they shouldn't put fricking folding chairs behind the fence to where its waist high to reach over the fence. That's Coors Field's problem, not the hitters. Awful call. You cant penalize the hitter for that.

This wins for dumbest post of the thread,

Minute Maid has places where fans can interfere, so does every other stadium. I think it’s funny that it was a Stros fan that interfered.

Are you suggesting that Houston fans don’t know how to properly sit at a road venue?

This is Coors Field’s fault?

The folding chairs are handicap accessible seating. I’ve been to Coors for games every summer. Your statement is just...dumb.

I like Bregman. I have no problem with the cursing, just the ‘have you played the game before’ crap. You don’t have to have an extensive playing career to understand the ruling.

Except he wasn't.
He had a bad game. As the rantards like to say, it's baseball.

Wrong. He clearly had the angle on the ball before the Houston arse deflected it.

If he wouldn't have brought that warning track power from the Homerun Derby, none of this would have mattered

He is probably a bit of a douche and definitely arrogant as hell, but most top flight baseball players are that way. He lives and dies with winning every day and his teammates/coaches/most Astros fans love him for it

If he played for St Louis, or for Detroit, would you be saying the same thing? To Houston fans, he was just "being fiery and passionate"; to everyone else, he was being childish, especially when he started with the opinions and attempting to insult a weatherman on Twitter. I do not use twitter; it's for irrational, emotional children who lack self-control. Looks like Bregman is another. Like I said, I don't really care, but the weatherman, especially if he is a meterologist makes fairly good money (obviously, not MLB money, but what would Bregman be making without baseball?). Bregman isn't better than anyone else; even if he is an excellent baseball player.

I for one like that he speaks his mind and doesn't do that mind-numbing "I don't wanna get fined" tap dance.

As for the call itself, I could see it both ways. However if it wasn't called interference on the field it was too close to overturn.

I watched Quick Pitch this morning on MLB channel to see if they ripped Bregman's behavior. They showed his game and post-game reactions and really didn't say anything other than Bregman was upset with the call. They later did a segment on his evolution as a hitter and called him a mini Mike Trout, said he was the star that baseball hopes he'd be, and called him a baseball treasure. The only place melting about his melting is here.

I probably would have never even of heard about this.

He had walk off in probably the best game in Houston sports history, I am sure some old balls will debate 94 or 95. He might be douche, as are 99% of the sheltered baseball players, but he is our douche.

Yeh it’s hard to find a baseball player that isn’t a douche

All great athletes toe the line between being confident & cocky. That doesn't dismiss them from being insecure.

Anybody that doesn't think that this guy is an embarrassment needs to take off their p/g glasses. Every other word is effing this or effing that. He acts like a spoiled brat.

It was clearly interference, Parra would have easily caught it if it weren't for the Astros fan tipping the ball.

I try to support all Tigers, but screw that douche. Thank god the Rockies have DJ and T.Story(still consider him a tiger).

I think we’re seeing the Tebow contingent trickle into MLB talk
