It was clearly interference, Parra would have easily caught it if it weren't for the Astros fan tipping the ball.

I try to support all Tigers, but screw that douche. Thank god the Rockies have DJ and T.Story(still consider him a tiger)

frick off.

And he’s absolutely right. The fan for sure interfered but to punish the batter with an out there is beyond retarded.

Bregman is gonna have to learn to act more professional than that. There are far better ways to get your opinion and frustrations out.

Bregman hosed by Umps

Nope. Bregman MAY have gotten hosed by a fan, but he did not get hosed by the Umps. Fan interference is absolutely the right call here. Tough catch but the fielders glove looked in position to have a good chance to make it.

And this comment by Bregman:

quote:

Obviously, the guy has never played f---ing baseball before in his life

took it from "understandable fired up competitor venting" into "entitled player being a douche" territory.

Also to the grown arse man Astros fan taking a baseball glove to a game - if you are going to take your baseball glove to a game like a 7-year-old kid and interfere with the game, at least catch the ball. Embarrassing all around for that guy.

They’re curse words

Why is that embarrassing?

The only thing you could call embarassing was that he was arguing against the correct call. And it was an Astros fan who was guilty.

"It changed the whole f---ing game. We're up 2-1 at the time, I'm at third base. We need a fly ball to the outfield to get me in, and it's 3-1. It's f---ing horrible."

is that a real quote?

I hate the punk.

But god damn do I wish he was a Ranger.

He definitely went a little overboard with those quotes lol, but when you’re an All-Star caliber player I don’t have a problem with him being a bit outspoken. Much more fun than him being a robot and saying we’ll get em next time.

sounds to me like a competitive ball player who was still heated over what he thought was a bad call. I'm sure he doesn't treat every interview like that

He's arguing with a weatherman on twitter about it now

Actually I do know the rule. I was saying that there is no way that you can say for certain he was going to catch that after slamming into the wall before the fan touched it. Go back to doing the weather for channel whatever. Why did you tag me? You want followers?

He’s a nice guy from the times I have met him.

With that said, the comment about the ump never having played baseball is stupid. I can let the cursing slide, but that other statement is just dumb.

I don't understand this shite at all. If every LSU athlete acted like this, I could maybe understand it.

Agree. I'm not embarrassed as an LSU fan. I would be as an Astros fan though. He comes across as an immature, entitled douchebag.

But with Bregman, there is a post about him just about every day. So the Ranters are obviously obsessed with him being from LSU.

Edit: If he was an ex Bama player as an example, the LSU fans defending him would be all over how douchey he was being.

Is there anything more pathetic than people on message boards calling athletes a bitch?

I don't really care; I just think that Bregman acted like a spoiled child about it. I don't view athletes as any different from us; at the end of the day, these are just talking points. Not what I would do. Use facts and logic, and not emotion and opinion, and your comment/complaint would have a lot more validity.

As far as calling some athlete a "bitch"; I think it's childish and is opinion, but Durant might be an exception......

You can say that for every instance, Alex. Errors happen all the time. But the rule is the rule, and from what it looks like, the outfielder was in good position, eyes on the ball, and probably would have hauled it in.

When the greater baseball public thinks of Alex Bergman they are definitely going to remember two things: 1. He went to LSU 2. That he called out an ump in a interleague in July.

Absolutely not game 5
