The fans would have booed him if he sucked, and the NFL is about self-preservation. No one is pushing anyone to the top for selfless reasons.
Nothing wrong with thanking fans, coaches, and teammates, but if a HOF inductee wants to talk a bit about rising from his low points, well, have at it. He doesn’t owe anyone shite.

He agreed with most of us on here and it all started because he didn't believe in kneeling and said he'd never kneel for the national anthem. Then he went incredibly weak (along with his wife) to appease a lot of his teammates and the league who were attacking him for having a different opinion. The whole thing was a sad episode. And I don't recall Sean Payton coming to his defense during that time.
But he is a good guy who has done a ton of good for the community not even counting the Super Bowl W.

100% my thoughts, we sit behind these computers and all say how and what we'd do it when quite frankly we have no idea how we would in the situation all things considered.
But It's one of the things I many never forgive Ryan Clark for, I think he spearheaded the social media pitch fork brigade that totally misrepresented Brees's quote. Brees had said the same thing before on more than one occasion without any blowback, but RC timed it up with recent sociopolitical events and tied to Brees in an unfair way and went in dry.

Brees did what was best for himself with the information at hand at the time. You could use the same arguement for Kaepernick. He stood his ground and stood by what he believed whether you agreed or not. And I did not agree with what he did. But you should call him brave by this arguement
