It isn't. Anyone trying to put this on Bosa is almost definitely doing so from a position of ignorance and doesn't actually know the reason for the disagreement. The release by the organization is so much bull shite spin it's ridiculous.

It's funny how hypocritical of a stance they are taking with the offset language. They like him so much that they are willing to take him 3rd overall, but they want the offset language included in the contract in case they release him and he's signed by another team, so they can recoup that money.

All because "it's how they've always done business". Well then don't suck at football and you won't end up with a pick where precedent is what Bosa's camp is asking for.

This is why the Chargers are terrible and have been since Tomlinson left save for a few seasons. They need to trade Rivers to Denver :yuck: and get it over with.

I hate Rivers more than any other QB but he'd captain the Broncos to a 14-2 record

It's only a precedent for SD. All the other top picks got either the full bonus or no offset language. Bosa has already said he will sign with either one but SD wants both in their favor.

Bosa being a mid-late 1st rounder next draft is way better for him than the Chargers completely wasting the #3 pick.

Wouldnt he lose like 15mil
Bosa is weak and the Chargers shouldnt have drafted him

I still think the Chargers have more to lose. Punting on a top 3 pick is fricking horrible, not to mention the rep they will get with agents and other players

Zero chance Bosa sits out this season.

Makes him wait one more year for FA and he'd likely drop substantially in the draft.

Chargers unfortunately have all the leverage and they're using it.

Edit: upon further investigation I don't blame the man... Carry on Bosa

If you're saying the Saints should trade for him they can't, the trade deadline for him passed like a week and a half ago or something like that.

I love the expression on Eli Manning's face. He looks like he just got a dirty diaper as a Christmas present.

I remember the night he got drafted and Archie engineered the trade. A dude I was working with passionately HATED the Manning family. Think he got reprimanded because he cursed so much about the deal.

Bosa ain't sitting the year. Chargers should be more than willing to wait him out.

Bosa ain't gonna go live with his parents again, have to train by himself for a year, and hope like hell that his stock doesn't fall.

Not to mention pay back the loans he inevitably took out from his agent that he can't pay back on $0 a year salary

What the hell? There's a trade deadline for unsigned drafted players?

Worst part to me..Hes stated that hes willing to accept one or the other.. No off set or all Guaranteed money this year.. The Charges refuse to budge even when its a small amount next calendar year they are proposing. Bosa seems to be making a stand on principal that is congruent with precedence.. Good for him
