The Blackhawks recently went through a sexual abuse scandal, they likely put together a significant policy in place.
I don't think anyone is allegeding that Perry did anything illegal, just potentially against policy, maybe even not.
Bedard is a generational talent. They don't want someone on the team that fricked his married mom.

The one happened within Canada National hockey if I recall. But one of the players allegedly implicated (not sure that's been resolved yet?) was eventually a Blackhawk.

I saw the GM's press conference from Tuesday afternoon and in a round about way inferred that this issue didn't pertain to Perry and other players' families, meaning he was denying any relationship with Bedard's mom. He also went on to say that no player on the team has any details as to what happened. If he was speaking the truth that it wasn't a relationship between Aunt Melanie and none of the players have any knowledge of it, then what could it possibly be??? I believe he also mentioned that the team learned about (whatever this is) while on the road.
I'm fully aware of Perry's scoring stats off the ice. Is the GM handing us a line of BS?
