UNC and Duke would be awesome. As others have said football is hard enough. The 3 most storied basketball programs in one conference? Yes, please.
I assume FSU is big 12 bound?

What is this bullshite about stem cell research? Non-embryonic stem cells have most all the shite anyway. The embroynic shite is just to push abortion, kind of like how global warming is just to push govt control of the economy

So lets say most of that pans out and all 4 major conferences end up looking at 16 members, this is what I come up.
SEC West: LSU, TXAM, MIZZ, ARK, OleMiss, MSST, AUB, ALA
SEC East: UF, UGA, SC, Kent, Tenn, Van, UNC, Duke
Big 10: OSU, Pur, Mich, MichSt, PSU, IND, ILL, NW, Minn, Iowa, NEB, WIS, Mary, GT, Rut, UVA
Big 12: Tex, OU, TexTech, Bay, OKST, TCU, KanSt, KAN, IowaSt, WV, VT, Mia, FSU, Clem, NCST, Louisville?
Pac 12: WashSt, Wash, OreSt, Ore, UCLA, USC, Stan, Cal, ArzSt, Arz, Col, Utah, Boise, Nev, BYU, UNLV?
Left out are : ND, WF, SYR, BC, CONN, CIN, PITT

fricking awful additions. That's the big problem with these 4 super conferences is that the only schools for the Pac12 to steal are Big12 teams

Well this thread quickly went to shite

Someone who doesn't understand a key point that the more serious academic institutions in the Big 10 are very concerned about (and have a different stance from Notre Dame)
This is not the board to debate the validity of the opposing points of view - but it is a major issue that may stand in the way of Notre Dame joining the Big 10 so it had to be mentioned.

No thanks to NC State.
My preferred combo would be UNC/VT but I doubt UNC would come without Duke, so I guess UNC/Duke, cause I def don't want NCSt.

if we are going to a pod system we may as well go to 20 schools.

I have no idea why the SEC didn't look to the ACC with the first expansion. I've wanted Duke/NC for forever. I desperately want SEC basketball to be relevant again and that would do it. Add them, kick out Mizzou, add VaTech and we got ourself a nice looking 16 team conference. I understand we gotta get tv markets but I think we'd have it moving up the coast through NC, Va, and DC. We'd have the best football, basketball, and baseball conference within a year or two.

NC State and VT please...at least that way we'll get one real football school out of it.
which would be
i kid i kid
but once frank is gone VT will go back to being awful and in the SEC they would get crushed esp after opening up their recruiting grounds fully to the SEC
