Maybe a nasa engineer will design a bat that shaped like a lava lamp and Judge will hit 100 in a season!
Anyone ever consider that!
Anyone ever consider that!

all I know is, I fricking hate the pitchers and managers in the early 2000s for not pitching to bonds more
Ain't nobody tuning in to watch a guy get intentionally walked.

in his age 39/40 season he reached base 376 times in 373 at bats.

Bonds was intentionally walked with the bases loaded.

Judge is already to old to break that record.
Aaron Judge played too much college ball to overtake Bonds. And frankly, 73 dingers seems a reach. But PEDs are still very much a part of every bat and play in every game. The problem I see is that pitchers have long since caught up in the PED race and the speed and spin of balls are keeping home run hitters somewhat in check, making Bonds' record feel distant.

While very unlikely, if he has about 9 more Judge type seasons. He can do it.
Meaning every 3rd/4th year only play 100 games or less? Or are you expecting him to stay healthier as he gets older?

I would say he was a Hall of Famer before he roided up, but after he roided up he was the greatest hitter of my lifetime. I did not feel that way about the pre-roid Bonds.

Imagine coming in here and comparing Judge to the greatest hitter of this era if not ever.
You are permanently attached to his dick.

Also interesting to note is that his homerun average did not drastically change after taking steroids. Was averaging close to 40 hrs a year during his pre steroid prime.
When did he start taking steroids? Was it the year he hit 73 or the year he hit 49 one year before he hit 73 The year before?
His HR average his first 10 seasons was 29.2 HRs, his average before he hit 49 was 31.8 and through the year before he hit 73 was 32.9. In no world is 33 almost 40. So yes, his HR average jumped dramatically after taking steroids, by at least 25%.

THE JUDGE has hit 50+ dongs three times and he didn’t even need steroids. The * career record is falling.
He was an older prospect coming up. Going to be really hard for him to do it.

I hope Bonds is elected to the Hall of Fame. I have a couple of his rookie cards and they will skyrocket in value.

You dont think pitchers were taking PEDS during bonds time? Because they most certainly were.

It's not that interesting but a very misleading statement nonetheless
When he was juiced to the gills from 2000-2004, his average per 162 were
.339/.535/.781
1.316 OPS
58 HRs
123 RBIs
197 BBs
During his pre-roid prime from 1992-1999, those numbers were:
.303/.441/.618
1.059 OPS
43 HRs
121 RBIs
136 BBs

He started bulking up after the 1998 season because he saw Sosa and McGwire getting all the attention, knew he was better than they were, and knew they were both juicing and no one cared at the time.

In fairness, he played the same amount of college ball Bonds did

And we had flame throwers back then. But all pitchers have finally leveled the field. We are now supposed to believe that going from a 90 MPH fastball to 96 is simply a matter of form and function is stupid talk. Like great pitchers for over 100 years were not all working on their form and function. Just like a sprinter running his fastest times in his late 30s and 40s is possible without PEDs. Yeah, Gatlin and today's sprinters, I'm talking to you guys.
The spin rate and speed are incredible these days. Unfortunately, Tommy John is the price they are also paying. But a lot of guys come back even better and stronger once they've had the surgery, as long as they get back on the sauce. HGH is a hell of a drug for sports. Men and women. And please people, do NOT start telling me about testing this stuff. Masking is still light years ahead of testing. It takes a stupid or extremely uniform athlete to get caught.
