Yep. No way around it. They beat our arse tonight. But if anyone in this thread would have said they would be mad going home up 3-2 in this series they would be a flat out liar. We won our 2 at home and stole one from them where we haven’t been able to win in forever. We’re coming back to our place with 2 games to play only needing one win. Believe!!

Why would they? They know it is over and Atlanta should win this series.

Disappointing if for no other reason that I was hoping Fried would have a career defining performance.

Love our chances vs Max honestly, we have seen him so many times. Love that we didn't use any of our big arms from the pen. They get two days off now. Chop, chop, let's rush the field when we win.

I just didn’t like the at bats after they went ahead. We started swinging early in counts, swinging at first pitches. We had really been working their pitchers and working the count and it kind of looked likely we panicked and got away from that

Everyone wanted to win one and get back to Atlanta. Bats gotta come alive. This is setting up for an epic game 7.

A lot of posters itt are so scared of losing that they want to at least be able to say “I told you so” I guess. Kind of bizarre.

Nah, they're preparing themselves for grief and/or begging someone to tell them it's going to be ok

That is totally correct, however, all the "if I told you before the series.." talks go out the window once the series actually starts. And the reality is that last night shouldn't have even bene played. This should've been a 4 game sweep with all of us resting up and making WS plans but we blew it in the bottom of the 8th while up 3 runs. There's no way to spin that that is deflating as frick.

I disagree. I think LA took that game, I don't feel like we blew that one. Bellinger crushed a high fast ball, other than throw it faster - what could Luke have done?

The first 3 games could have gone either way, we won 2.

I’m not a major league pitcher but I don’t know how he could go from having a “dead arm” to being 100% of himself even on regular rest, so I’m cautiously optimistic too. And like you also said, our guys are obviously very familiar with him. Anderson needs to bring his “A” game no matter what though.

Throw something other than a high fastball when every swing Bellinger took was trying to hit the ball into the Pacific Ocean. The Braves handed that game to them on a silver platter and they didn't turn down the opportunity. I really hope it doesn't cost them.

That dadgum Taylor is a .250-.260 and maybe 20 HR average guy but he hits HR vs Braves like he knows what pitch is coming. It’s crazy. Don’t like that guy.

Chris Taylor and Trea Turner are two guys who have spent years demolishing Braves pitching.

lol yep. he has 9 career postseason homers across 14 series. 4 of those are against Atlanta although it feels like more.

I lost some confidence last night.

BUT, I think a blowout was better. Nice to give Matz, Minter, Jackson and Smith night off

He drives me insane. Getting beat by guys like Bellinger and Betts is one thing but someone like Taylor turning into Reggie Jackson against us is infuriating.

I swear, if I had to make a list of 10 players in baseball I hate most, there would be 5-6 Dodgers on there minimum

Yea had flashbacks to the series last year watching that for sure. In fairness they were pounding the strike zone, especially Graterol, so it was either swing early or be down in the count 0-2 and that’s not a winning proposition either.
