Nah, Ricky Williams had several great seasons and I remember he literally played a game with a separated shoulder one game in the cold against the Bears and still ran for over 100 yards.

It wasn't that he didn't care, dude just wasn't a running back, just an athlete... And the NFL fell for the measurables. His O-line still has treadmarks from him running up their backs...after they created a gaping hole.
