re: As records are meant to be broken how fast do you think it’s possible for a human to run?

I can’t see bolts being broken

I get the iaaf had motive to keep any potential dirty tests from the public given how big of a hit that would’ve been for the sport but there’s just not much there that makes me thing he was dirty.
What’s amazing to me is that they were able to keep it quiet for as long as they did. Imagine the problems that would come of that if Bolt was a known PED user. Other guys are barely sub 10’s

I guess we have to check back in a 1 ,000 years to see if .50 of a second has been taken off the current record.

"Research suggests that if a sprinter is 10 percent taller, then he would have a 10 percent shorter ground contact time, which would allow him to run 10 percent faster," Richmond said.
What if a sprinter identifies as being 10 percent taller? Would they run 10% faster or would everyone else just have to tell them that they ran 10% faster?

Anybody that thinks any Jamaican sprinter, male or female, has been clean for the last 30 years is insane.
Not that anyone else is without fault, but frick off if you think that tiny arse island is producing that much talent on the regular without help.

Im really not confident that a women can run any faster. Flo Jo won her time in the 80s, and you really haven't had anyone even come close since then.

Imagine thinking evolution takes place over a generation. Nutrition improvements are responsible for these advances.
People are constantly evolving. Their environments evolve and so does the science. Nice gotcha though, kid.
I award you the internet blue ribbon today.

Someone came within 0.05 seconds 3 years ago. That feels pretty close and fairly recently. In fact, that chick has 2 of the 3 fastest performances ever, tying flo jo's 2nd best time ever

Dive deeper into Flo Jo's times. She was fast, then out of no where, dropped seconds off her 100m time. Several several seconds. Key indicator of a doper. Similar to Ben Johnson.

It will take perfect conditions on the right track on the right day...but I believe Flo Jo's record is breakable. But I think that record is closer to the fastest for woman vs. the men's record which I believe can be lowered.

is a cheetah chasing him???

Yeah, just a little at the end. I wonder what it could've been? Not sure about someone saying he sucked out the blocks, he looked fine there. Bolt was so fun to watch, he looked so smooth and effortless.
Posted on 6/30/24 at 3:29 pm to Errerrerrwere
It can definitely get faster than 9.58. It’s very short sighted to think otherwise.
Posted on 6/30/24 at 5:01 pm to Clark14
Do you think Bolt could’ve ran it faster with wasp after him too?
Posted on 7/2/24 at 9:56 pm to Errerrerrwere
Sh’carri just ran 10.78 s with a bad start.
FloJo could be in jeopardy after all.

Why aren't these races run indoors for condition neutrality?
Posted on 7/3/24 at 8:28 am to lsu xman
Flo Jo was juicing her arse off. Before running a 10.49, her best time was 10.96. She improved THAT much in a year? Nah.
Then add in the fact that she retired out of nowhere the same year that random drug testing was mandated….hmmm…
