This is a legit criticism of him. His golf claims are what is pathetic and completely unnecessary

If he could really shoot 70 he’d be doing it on live tv and at tournaments other than ones with his name on it.

And this was clearly a Net championship. Which I’ve never once heard Club championships going by Net Score versus just raw gross. That’s pitiful to do that for a club championship

I’ve played in a few where they do gross and net overall and gross and net skins. It’s honestly good to get the max participation. Higher handicap guys a lot of time won’t play if they have no chance of anything.

You have heard someone say they are “Club Champion” and they did it with Net? It’s just an absurd claim to me

The entire point of the event is to claim the best golfer of the year for the Club. Making it net is a joke.

Having flights for those who chose not to play in the open division, great idea, we do that too. But you aren’t Club champion if you win one of those flights and nobody would ever call you one

Seems reasonable. His granddaughter is a soon to be college golfer on scholarship to Miami, and he kept up with her quite well in a video she did of them golfing together about a year ago.

I don’t think it really matters that much in 95% of the clubs across the country. Maybe in some of the more prestigious clubs, but for the majority of the clubs no one cares who the club champ is. But I do understand what you’re saying

Personally I don’t care for net tournaments or flights bc I have to give strokes back, but I understand why it’s done.

As far as trump’s 70 I’d be interested to see what the length of the tees he was playing. If I played from the senior tees at most courses I’d probably average low 60s in my mid 60s, so it’s not entirely that far fetched.

On the other hand shooting a 70 at 80yrs old is nuts, even for someone who isn’t busy with other things like being the damn president.

I mean he’s not playing the PGA tees…

What, exactly, would be his insitive for lying? World leaders are known to be great golfers. One of those north korean leaders once shot like a 35 or something like that. No reason to not beleive the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!
I refuse to believe that you are actually this stupid
if you don’t believe Batman is this stupid then you’re not familiar with his posts on tRant

Besides, the most hilarious part of his post is hands down the North Korean part. If I have to explain why that’s funny to anyone they may be as dumb as he is

No, the word on the street is that caddies call him “Pele”.

Absolutely.

Although it would be funny to watch video of his round that he claims was a 70.

I live in west Palm and know several guys who are pros, went to q school, work for pga of America, etc.

I’ve heard over and over that he’s an excellent golfer but also gets quite a few “close enough” calls when playing.

I am definitely familiar with his post history. That’s why I know he’s trolling. The way he misspells words doesn’t make sense. Also, there is no way he spells that poorly and somehow manages to properly punctuate this sentence.

then they have a championship flight and enough players to have multiple flight with similar handicaps, which is pretty much the same thing as using handicap.

You are correct. We have a champ flight and lower flights.

If he is playing from Senior tees, being an above average golfer. I have no reason to doubt him.

Old man golf is something else. Im not kidding. Unless you've gotten your arse beat by it for money or for a competitive round you can't really appreciate it.

I lost to a 73 year old recently. he was playing from the forward tees. barely hit it 200 but it was down the pipe every time. on some holes that was like me piping one 325. Then they chip and putt the lights out. And you're just standing there the whole time taking it in the arse because what else can you do? any other sport they keel over and die. Golf? They drink a beer and laugh at your youth.

I had the same exact thing happen to me in a match play tournament at our local course a few weeks ago. Old man was something like a 5 handicap from the senior tees and just wore my arse out. Hit every single fairway. Chipped up and mostly had every GIR. The one time he missed the green he chipped in for birdie.

and you legit cant shite talk them. getting beat down by someone old enough to be your dad, possibly grandpa, leaves you with very little wiggle room. Its maddening.

yeah it is kind of funny how just being straight makes the game so much easier to play

i can easily see where Trump plays in a Super Senior Club Championship and wins it consistently. Probably less than 20 people are playing in the tourney and Trump is probably in the upper tier of athleticism for guys that old so the course plays even shorter for him
