Are we buying the claim that Trump shot 70 and won a club championship?

I’m no Trump hater but not sure what to think. On the one hand he’s a great golfer, I watched the break 50 with Bryson and I’ve seen his swing before, I know he’s very good.
On the other hand shooting a 70 at 80yrs old is nuts, even for someone who isn’t busy with other things like being the damn president.

What, exactly, would be his insitive for lying? World leaders are known to be great golfers. One of those north korean leaders once shot like a 35 or something like that. No reason to not beleive the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!

He's competing in the Seniors and Super Seniors categories.
It's still very impressive. He's always been a good golfer. He's probably one of the better 80 year olds anywhere.

I'm not saying I believe him but word on the street is that he's always been a good golfer. It's not beyond the realm of possibility.

it says his score was 70, assuming hes not competing from the back tees in the championship flight, which hes not, the 70 would be his score with his handicap subtracted in every club championship ive ever seen

I’m a supporter but I’m sure if he kept an accurate score he’d very seldom break 90.

Did you watch when he played wity bryson? For his age he is very good
I assume he is playing senior division up tees around 6000 yards maybe.

You’re probably right about that.
I’ve seen a friend of mine do that, lied in a tournament and said we was a 15 handicap (he played golf at a JUCO). Then shot 81 from the two up tees to net 66… Posted online that he shot 66 and won the tournament.

if you watched him play with bryson you would know that it would be very hard for him to shoot as bad as 90 from the senior tees, which im sure is what he plays. hes pretty decent for an old man

He plays the super senior tees and hits every fairway.
Not sure how it’s far fetched.

trump is more the type to say hes a 5 handicap when hes really an 10. but that doesnt matter, i doubt he keeps an official handicap, so when he signs up for one of these the club pro probably estimates trumps handicap and im sure he knows whats good for him and errs on the side of giving trump too many shots

Does this increase the value of Trump Coin?

He’ll tell us he’s a 5 when he’s really a 10, but then he’ll play the tournament as a 15

correct. probably not with that big a gap in the numbers tho, but he'll be able to say, well thats the strokes they gave me, and the 10 other 80 year olds that hes playing against in the super senior flight really dont give a shite

Old man golf is something else. Im not kidding. Unless you've gotten your arse beat by it for money or for a competitive round you can't really appreciate it.
I lost to a 73 year old recently. he was playing from the forward tees. barely hit it 200 but it was down the pipe every time. on some holes that was like me piping one 325. Then they chip and putt the lights out. And you're just standing there the whole time taking it in the arse because what else can you do? any other sport they keel over and die. Golf? They drink a beer and laugh at your youth.

A question many people have asked themselves over and over.

Anything’s possible. I mean, Kim Jong-il made 11 holes in one in his first ever round of golf.

In 2004 at the American Century Celebrity tournament, when he was 57 and in much better shape. he finished 56th out of 79 celebrities and athletes. His modified Stableford score was -6.
Unfortunately, under this scoring, the highest "+ score" wins - Dan Quinn won with a score of +74. In 2005 his score was +26, good for 42nd place. In 2006 his score was -16, good for 65th place.
It's amazing how his scores magically improve when there are no cameras and officials around.
He couldn't shoot 70 at Putt-Putt. If you believe he can shoot 70, you probably believe his claim that he's 6'3" and 215 pounds too.
