Exhibit 1 as to why I always prefer college football over the NFL, even if NIL and the Portal have eroded some of the allure. I don't have to worry about the Missouri Tigers packing up and heading to Los Angeles because the fans won't pay for a new stadium.

The fact that billions of dollars of tax payer money goes to building these stadiums should be a national outrage.

This is an issue that should easily unite both right and left as it's such an absolutely irresponsible and gross use of taxpayer money that serves no other purpose but to enrich the already rich.

The Broncos are posturing for a new stadium soon as well.

quote:

The Broncos’ current lease with the stadium district expires on March 31, 2031. So a new stadium, if there is a new stadium, remains six years away at the earliest.

“We’re continuing our diligence,’’ Penner said from a mezzanine-level room at the Breakers Resort. “As I mentioned before, it’s complex. We haven’t ruled anything out. We’re still looking at the current site, other sites around Denver, Lone Tree, Aurora. We don’t have a set timetable for making a decision.

“We obviously have our lease that ends at a certain date, which is a date that we could focus on. It could be something that would happen earlier than that. If we needed to, we could be in our current stadium longer. So we don’t have a set timetable at this point.”

Where they gonna go? Their stadium is like 20 years old

Never let anyone bitch about the Superdome. Location and configuration lets the state and city have all kinds of other uses for the Dome. Don’t mind spending money on upgrades to ensure it stays a first class facility.

Would be awesome if they came to Shreveport. Imagine burrow and chase back in the stadium at LSUS

I remember watching a Saints-Broncos preseason game in 2001 right after it opened.

Why? Isn’t there already a history of teams fleeing that shithole?

Why do people think San Diego would build a new stadium to get a relocated team when they wouldn’t do it to keep their beloved Chargers?

It’s truly a symbolic NFL venue, just need the Saints to get winning again to see its true potential

They just did for SDSU on the site of the old stadium. It isn’t big enough for the NFL though.

It's very weird seeing these so called "lifelong" Chiefs fans there.
