Two of the funniest stories about him:

quote:

Tried to fight Mike Mayock, called him a cracker, had to be held back by Vontaze Burfict, then punted a football down the practice field and said "fine me for that"

You know you’ve gone too far when Burfict has to hold you back

quote:

Refused to pay a chef because he thought he threatened him by placing a fish head in the freezer (the fish head was saved to make a soup)

I hate to say it, but a large portion of society looks at celebrities, athletes, actors, entertainers, etc. as people to look up to just because of their profession. It is ridiculous, but that is the stupidity of society.

This is a real life quote from Antonio Brown, just a couple of weeks ago:
quote:

“You guys are all drama. It’s all about football. We’re going to talk about Carolina or I don’t want to talk to you. . . . It’s a lot of drama you guys create, a lot of drama people create who want stuff from me. That’s a part of life, a part of being in the position. I can’t control what people want from me, what people write about me.”

Doesn't really apply to him. He was 6th rd pick that started as a walkon at Central Michigan. He's crazy but he wasn't a silver spoon guy

You wanna know why he had to walk on at CMU? Because he lost his scholarship at FIU for fighting with a security guard and got kicked out of school. He had to go to FIU because he couldn't get into FSU for academic reasons.

If he had done the things he was supposed to do he could have been on scholarship at a P5 program but he couldn't, so he had to walk-on at a G5 program after going the Juco route. It's his fault and no one else's.

I went to a small school in a small town and if you were even on the football team you were treated differently. In 10th grade I had surgery and missed a test, so at midterm my average was 50. I never made it up and at the end of the year my final grade was 90. I had a PWO offer from Georgia Southern which I didn't even take up but point is you don't have to be a 5 star with 50 offers to skate through the first 18 years of your life thinking you're a "star"

I love the irony that he was set off with Tampa Bay not paying him incentive money he hadn’t earned and thinks he’s owed when he wouldn’t pay the chef he did owe money. Which also got him busted for fake Covid card.

I like how he goes off about Tom Brady after Brady opened up his home to him. Brown says Brady is just friends with him because he is good at football and he is a winner. Last time I checked Brady has won a lot without AB, so I think he needs Brady not vice versa. AB makes it hard to feel sorry for him, he just does. He’s often been enabled by many and that just fueled the fire. This guy is cancer to any locker room and to himself. He can’t get out his own way with the dumb things he says and does.

Correctomundo. Those kids were treated like royalty and untouchable from 8th grade to senior year - even the ones that sucked. Especially baseball players who had MLB potential.

Btw don’t forget that AB is the son of the greatest Arena league player ever. Dude presumably had a role model of how to act as an athlete.

The majority of people in this country do as well. It is a form of decay. Mass popularity of spectator sports is ultimately a problem for society, not a benefit.

Ryan Clark, with his own well deserved reputation, was ripping AB years ago during his days with the Steelers for these very same reasons. None of this new, rather, this has been his style for years.
