Honestly if I was there I would have booed too. So much hype, so little production delivered so far.

Hindsight is 20/20. More money + being able to DH + coming off World Series = obvious move

The funniest part of his situation is they have 9 more years of this shite !

Baseball contracts are mindboggling.

Booing is counterproductive.

Basketball contracts are worse, hell Joe Johnson is being paid max money.

Football contracts aren't guaranteed, so in essence, everyone knows the last couple of years of a contract probably won't come to fruition. That's pretty mind boggling too.

I would love to know why he chose Anaheim personally.

I heard Hunter Pence tweeted would you rather go to Anaheim for more money, or stay in STL while they build statues of you? It's a really good point.

Pujols was only trying to make as much money as possible after being criminally underpaid for years with St. Louis. Remember, he signed an 7 year, $100 million deal with the Cardinals early in his career. It probably chapped his arse that inferior players were signing deals that were giving them more money per year for a longer period of time than what he was making in St. Louis.

i get that, and you know what? Too bad. That's what happens when you sign a pre arb deal like he did. You give a huge discount.

But after that I've covered everything. Keep in mind it was 100 million and now he was set to make a lot more along with hammering his legacy into stone. Money not an issue, HOFer, superlegendary status on a major team, perennial contender...there's nothing left.

Maybe he thought playing with LAA would equal a better chance to -

hit more HRs (finish as a DH) &/or win a ring

Not that I feel sorry for anyone making that kind of money but still.

Why would money determine if you're gonna feel sorry for a guy due to not being with hi s family?

I never understood turnings like that. They're still people lol.

Because he chose the money over being close to his family?

April's over, he needs to get going or the Angels have no realistic shot at the AL West.

In the meantime, it's noise from the boo holes for Pujols.

i do not agree with booing any player on my favorite team.. especially over production or lack thereof.. but maybe it'll help.. he certainly won't get any worse.

So you know what's best for his family more than he does?

I'm sure there are things we don't know about, but I'm also pretty confident in saying he made the decision with his family in mind, obviously.

Just guessing a reason people may feel that way. I know you love playing
but you can't act like its some outlandish idea to not feel terribly sorry for him

I'm sure it IS a reason people feel that way.

I'm not acting like that. It's totally normal, way more normal for sports fans to NOT feel sorry for athletes. I'm saying I don't understand it, at all.

He's still a human. He's performing horribly at his job. Even without the family stuff that I don't know about, that's gotta be tough on him. Simply having a lot of money won't just magically make him shrug it off and be happy about everything.

I booed the frick out of Jefferson, loudly and often, over his shitty production and he is not a pro.

Booing over a lack of production is certainly acceptable especially in the pros. Deal with it.
