They don’t have the draft capital.

So how does this work? Saints should be able to bend over a team and say give us what we want (in players and draft picks and cash) or he isn’t coaching this year?

Just a reminder for the millionth time. You cannot trade players for a coach, only draft picks and money.

I'd rather the Texans bring back Bum Phillips.

Can Denver afford him? Look at all the shite they already gave up for Wilson.

Saints only have control for another year but Denver has no picks, saints have to get some first for him guess taking Denver’s next pick is better than nothing.

Cowherd and Payton are friends, i listen to the show on my drive around lunch time and it’s been obvious for months he was trying to help control the narrative, he’s also been super critical of the bills this week, which would be an ideal landing spot for Payton

Denver is a train wreck, there’s no way Payton takes that job

Payton should 100% sit out another season. It's almost a certainty there will be better jobs will be opening up next year such as the Chargers, Cowboys, Browns, and maybe even the Bills.

Stupid move on both ends Saints and Broncos. Broncos have nothing to offer short term in terms of draft picks because of what they did to get Russell Wilson

Seems like it, they have one of the strongest bargaining chips in the league and they're going to fold like a cheap tent.

I'm guessing you mean draft compensation. No they can't afford him but Saints are probably just going to knuckle under and take whatever they can get.

Doesn't matter really. New Orleans is going to struggle with Dennis Allen, regardless.

They are supposed to cough up a mix of draft picks and cash based on the Jon Gruden trade.

Denver currently has-

2023 - 1st (Dolphins, mid-late 1st), 3rd (their own and Colts), 4th, 5th, 6th (Steelers), 7th (Vikings)

They DO have picks in 2024 and 2025 they can trade including firsts.

They got some pretty good draft capital back when they traded Bradley Chubb to Miami, IIRC.

Yeah I’ve decided Alicia Vikander is going to be my wife. It’s just up to her now if she wants to go through with it. Fingers crossed.

Denvers first round pick is actually the 49ers pick, which was obtained from Miaimi.

Correck.

Denver has the Niner's pick, so that will be #29-#32 depending on how much farther San Fran goes in the playoffs.

They also have picks #68 and #69.

If I'm the Saints, take one of #68/69... and either that 1st Round pick or.... Denver's 1st Round pick the next year.

A lot of teams have decided to hire Sean Payton. The question is has Sean Payton decided to be hired by them?
