Dave knew talent when he saw it
Just couldn't coach it up. He'd be a really good FO/personnel guy IMO.

And Wannstedt is a Yinzer, also.

I'd put that guy up against anybody on the defensive side of the ball regarding impact on the game. How he wrecked plays. Just consistent in what he did.

Another Western Pennsylvania native who's gonna waltz into Canton on the 1st ballot. Crazy how that area has produced as many HoF'ers(across all sports, but mostly football) as it has.

It was a huge population center and predominantly blue collar. So what you have is a massive population of historically hard working, tough people. If you view it though that lens I guess it makes it less surprising that so many great FB players come from there.

He's pulling a Barry Sanders and getting out while his body is still in good shape.

Sanders though was pissed he wasn’t on better teams.

I obviously love Chris Jones, but Aaron Donald is the GOAT DT

Retire while you’re still in good health and rich. Can’t blame him

Ironic because both Revis & Donald quit football prematurely

Seems premature

It wasn't a snap decision, he was telling people back in January that he was done.

My favorite Aaron Donald moment was when he rushed QB Geno Smith unblocked and the whole stadium could hear Geno yell "OH MY GOD!" as Donald came at him like a dart.

Prematurely according to whom? Both men were in their 30’s and I’m Revis’s case well on the tail end of their careers. While Donald is still great, is he what he was 5 years ago?

A lot of QBs are breathing a sigh of relief right now.

This man wrecked havoc every time he touched the field. Easily a first ballot hall of famer.

Kinda surprised he didn't chase another ring before hanging up the cleats. The Rams have paid the dude over $150 million, so I get it.

The greatest show of coaching accumen ever:

Urban Meyers as Jaguars HC: "Who the hell is 99? He's killing us."

It's his body so can't blame the guy but it sucks to not see him play anymore. Haven't heard him do many interviews so I wonder if he wants to do any broadcast work.

Please tell me this is real, that would have been like Les Miles asking who #15 was for Florida.
