Ban hotdogs immediately. What was she doing eating a hotdog during the national anthem? I'd say I'm suprised, but considering it's baseball and some of the reasons those guys go on the dl, it doesn't suprise me at all. This may be both the best and worst post in message board history all at the same time.

Mama Cass herself was in some ways indeed an urban legend - - as were the silly stories about her choking to death ...

I may sue her family.

Dude, choking to death on a food is becoming a fear of mine

I choked on a splintered fish bone at a Morrison's at the Galleria mall in Birmingham as a kid. Was eating a piece of fish that everyone assumed had been de-boned and one of the long thin sharp fish bones got wedged in my throat. It freaked my parents out but I was able to wash it down with a piece of biscuit and water.

Choking is one of my biggest fears when I'm around my nephews or around young children at a birthday party. The first sign that one of them may be choking on a piece of food freaks me out. Anyone else get nervous watching a little kid scarfing down chicken nuggets or a hot dog hoping they don't get a piece lodged in their throat?

Has anyone asked if foul play mightve been involved?

eta: Not by the cubs.

I meant it seems weird that no one would notice someone choking until they fall into the row in front of them.

no, i havent but i know it must be awful. A friend of mine nearly died from choking on food and afterwards he lost over 40 lbs. it was ridiculous, the guy was just afraid to death to eat. He couldnt do it, just would not eat. I was jealous how easily he lost the weight, ha ha.

Chili would have helped it slide down easier, sounds like she got cheap and it ended up costing her
