Not re-signing Brooks
A parent thing I'm told
Same type of parent thing that got Mike Thibs ran?
Someone over at TC needs to tell the admin to back their coaches and quit listening to the crybaby parents..

God I hope not. There is nothing better than a winning program for your kid to play a part of. Aside from abuse, or embarrassing behavior, parents should smile and enjoy the ride.
You’d be surprised how many parents don’t give a crap if the team is winning or not

Ricca was a big time loss to Dutchtown and great add to you. Dutchtown is really struggling with some things without him here.
With your pitching and coaching I like your chances at Benton.

Looks like Neville has parted ways with Coach Paul Guerriero.

Nothing more than what has been discussed in these threads already. And like choupiquesushi has said, more prevalent in your private schools. Some combination of principal/priest not re-signing due to philosophical differences, which can be directly traced to parent offerings.
It’s getting more and more difficult by the year in every sport

finishing it as far as I know and was told it was kind of mutual due to not seeing eye to eye with new admin

Started year w Sulphur, Sam Houston, Op Catholic, Bennett, STM, then played Sterlington 2x, WM 2x, Ruston 2x, ASH 2x, add in Tioga, ACADIANA and Ruston for a non district game. That is 16 games where, talent wise, they were at a disadvantage.
I hope this wasn’t an overreaction for them.

The coach makes the schedule though…

6 of those games are district. And in baseball you have to schedule like that out of district for power rating purposes

talking about parents, the best was watching a parent fly in on a helicopter to watch his kid play and not having permission to land the thing on the opponents school grounds

Yes, he scheduled it. Yes he is responsible, but adding context to a 20 loss season isn’t an attack on anyone or anything.

Scheduling difficult competition is better for your team, however no brainwashed travel ball parent these days is going to understand 17-15 against quality competition is better than 22-6 against 1A, B, and C schools
You risk your job scheduling difficult these days with the mentality of the parents. Teams could manipulate their schedules to get 20+ wins every year regardless of the talent on their team.
