Who they had
Not sure but I know they had some Shaw kids. Robbie Rapp, Kerry Carmardelle. Not really sure who else.

Makes sense. Shaw was rolling around that time

I think Denham Springs won state in that Babe Ruth or Dizzy Dean or whatever they played back then. Beat JPRD East and West.

D1 Non Select has almost all juicy matchups. D1 Select has a few but chalk should mostly roll through.

agreed
outside of D1, I am most looking forward to St louis at ND and Dunham at LC in D3S. Also Kinder hosting kaplan in D3NS.
D2 is of little interest to me this round for the most part

Ruston and Tioga wins would be huge upsets.

Agree to most but believe Dutchtown and St. Amant are going to move on. I like both pitching situations.
Barbe series should be interesting if Madeville can hit like they did this past week.

quote:Ruston is improving by the game, and has been in some big moments this season that have made them tougher, and Tioga has two solid pitchers that go big innings. Jesuit was blanked by one of them earlier in the year. Tioga has some bats at back of the line up waking up. Just dont want to write off my Cenla folks.

Teurlings looking for a new head baseball coach.
Not re-signing Brooks
A parent thing I'm told
Odd timing and an even more odd occurrence. I'm starting to feel for baseball coaches like I do for Law Enforcement.

Oh man. please let us know what thats all about. It always is amazing to hear what folks consciously do when it involves their kids and sports.

Nothing more than what has been discussed in these threads already. And like choupiquesushi has said, more prevalent in your private schools.
Some combination of principal/priest not re-signing due to philosophical differences, which can be directly traced to parent offerings.

wtf? dude thats so insane to me.
Why are the damn admin listening to the parents? so so bad. Sulphur is the worst about this but it has gotten bad all over.
need to tell them the parents to go frick themselves and go play somewhere else if you dont like it
do you know how many parents whine about GC at barbe? or how many were so mad at CH at Sam after he told them the current freshman and soph class would be taking a lot of the seniors spots and how many wanted him fired? tons.
Admins have to learn to lead and stop giving into the parents
now there are plenty of times where the coaches are just idiots but you can not fire a coach for not playing certain kids imo. now not winning....fair game. no excitement in the programming and the program bleeding money....fair game....over the top stuff from the coach....fair game. and of course other things like running them until they throw up or get put in hospital with Rhabdo or consistently breaking pitch count rules....that is different.
But firing him over not playing right kid...wtf
Posted on 4/20/26 at 11:10 am to lsu777
well its official, they just posted accepting resumes on their FB
WTF!!!
WTF!!!
Posted on 4/20/26 at 11:48 am to lsu777
and they are only accepting them until friday so one would assume they already have their guy.

Not analogous. I'm not saying the parents or the admin are right.
But at a private school, you don't have quite the ability to stand up to parents that you do at a public school.

The diocese of Lafayette seems to be trying to get out of the education business with the they're systematically destroying the schools under their purview.

Tc admin is notoriously difficult to deal with amongst typical parents shite. He is going to be a great hire for whomever
