It looks like 5a is wide open and any of the top 5 teams can take it this year.

Walker this year is a very Senior heavy class. After that it gets pretty lean.

They are senior heavy.
But I disagree. Go check the JV records…. We are going to be fine in the future , trust me. Middle school group is pretty good as well.
Only reason a lot of underclassman aren’t getting a lot of PT is bc of the senior class. We have like 8 signed to go play in college.
Even this year we have some young arms contributing heavily in varsity.
The staff does things the right way, and the kids are bought in. I’m excited for the future

I mean right now Barbe is the overwhelming favorite
but SH, WM, Zachary, Benton, Mandeville, Hahnville all have dudes that could get hot and really throw things for a loop.
even Lafayette, Sulphur, Dutchtown, Walker, and Central will make things very uneasy for a bunch of teams.
the 5a LC/Lafayette district is just dumb this year too.

Chalmette wins at Northshore 3-2 in 8 innings… no one scored until the 6th, then we lost that lead in the bottom of the 7th and then took a new one in the 8th. The bottom of the 8th got wobbly but we threw a wrench in the district after we couldn’t get it done last year with Bryce Wilson

That district is so damn tough!
Rayne may finish 4th and they have a guy throwing mid 90s and just run ruled a really good and tough ND squad
