Can safely say I no longer have any idea what the rules of racing are in F1.

it appeared to me he had. Lando was leaving him easily after passing. Max couldn't keep the same pace at all

I watched the 7:00 o'clock replay. I never thought
Ferrari would run away and hide.

That was really something.

Spanners and the whole crew at MA are annoying bitches.

I listened to them for a bit, then got tired of the hot takes and lack of insight. Only time I give a listen now is when they bring Joe Saward on

Still watching everything and keeping up, just not as much time to post.

Thought this type of defense/passing was solved at Brazil '21, but I guess not even attempting to make the corner legally is still a viable option.

From this point forward any driver that tries to pass on the outside should be fired by their team. Blueprint is divebomb the inside, go off track on the outside, then go slow out of the corner. If the other driver doesn't stay behind it is passing off track, if they do then both drivers get a warning for exceeding track limits.

If both cars are off the track the "can't pass off track" is null.

Watched it later in the evening but those shots of Ver and Nor running nose to tail through the 4,5,6 corners or whichever ones they are were pretty sweet.
Wish Norris could have held it together better and made a cleaner pass or given it back up immediately to go at it again.

Probably best that he got away from Max and didn’t end up in a wreck though.

Why is everyone complaining about max and that move? Is the switchback not available all of a sudden?

I like this kind of racing. We don’t have enough of it. Let them battle.

Be a better driver. Have balls.

It’s bad when you find Max Verstappen to be way more charismatic than you(Norris)

Except it wasn’t all race prior to then. Russell, Tsunoda, and at least 1 other driver all got penalties for “forcing another driver off the track” in the exact same manner and in the exact same corner.

But verstappen continues to be apparently untouchable by the stewards and fia

This is precisely the issue. I listened to a podcast this morning that suggested stewards should be shown AI recreations of on-track incidents with white cars so they can possibly feign some unbiased consistency.

It's a shame that the powers that be will watch all the wheel-to-wheel action that happened today and gather up and say "you know what will be awesome? Another street track!"

Besides Vegas. That was a good race. Baku was alright this year too right?

Man this has been a really good season. By far the most competitive of my F! watching career. I wasn't super enthralled with the race, actually fast forwarded some in the middle, but still pretty entertaining.

As as Sainz fan it sucks seeing Ferrari catching up to McLaren and RB and knowing freaking Lewis is going to be the beneficiary of it. Meanwhile Williams looks to be going backwards. Really hoping Ferrari bombs next year.

I'll put on my Williams fan hat for this one. Their qualifying wasn't good this weekend. I'll give you that, but Colapinto's race was great. Albon fricked his car up in a T1 incident. They're actually doing pretty well considering they have admitted they're minimally developing the car from a few races ago until the new regs. Vowles has said they're spending their money on the factory and not the current car and going all in on the 2026 car. They've scored points in 3 of the last 4 races. That's a lot for a present-day Williams team.
