The Mavs have conceded in their quest for DeAndre Jordan, league source tells @CBSSports. Moving on and "hitting reset button," source says.

So about that "reset button"....

Who's gone next?

I think Dallas has a better shot than most teams at luring big FA's (big market, good weather, low taxes). Matthews/Parsons/Dirk/DJ would be a fringe playoff team that would never compete for a title. If Cuban can properly convert who they have now into assets (and let Matthews walk if he wants) it could be a good thing for the franchise.

I'm following on twitter and laughing my arse off.

And I'm watching game 4 of the Lakers series from 2011.

It's hard to be too upset when they were never going to contend next season anyway.

If you weren't already pulling against the Clippers you were doing it wrong

Only thing that could make this crazier is if Lebron signed with the Lakers

I'm talking about Dirk. Dirk invested a lot of trust in Cuban, and gave up maybe $30M+ to come up short 3 times in free agency.

Yup. But they got Houston's role player on a max contract.

That's why I think the best thing for both Dirk and the Mavs is to trade Dirk to a contender. Problem is that the teams in contention for a title are all loaded in the frontcourt. If he's cool with just making the playoffs and mentoring younger players, he'd be a GREAT fit in Phoenix.
