Something to consider:
A lot of people don't really care about Jordan's reneging, thinking he's only affecting owners and fanbases. But this goes beyond that. Matthews signed with the Mavs hours before Jordan, almost certainly under the impression that Jordan was signing with the Mavs, or at least under the assumption that the Mavs would have the cap room to sign another big time player (i.e. bring in Hibbert with their capspace). Now he's kind of up shite's creek if he expected to compete for the playoffs this season.
