Falls and fouls are two different things. Most of the time he draws contact. It’s not his fault others can’t defend him without making contact. The NBA Champion and 2x MVP has nothing to feel sorry for. People hate winners.

When you fall that much more often than Harden it’s time to look in a mirror

He fell on 19 of the 37 shots where he was fouled, and on 20 of the 187 shots where he wasn’t fouled. He fell on over 10% of his shots even when he wasn’t fouled

ETA: Wemby fell once in the 164 shots that he took when he wasn’t fouled.

It would be so much easier for Thunder fans to just embrace and admit that their team flops because it has to be exhausting defending and coming up with excuses for their bullshite all the time

Seems easier to go with a “Got a ring. Don’t care. Deal with it” response

As a former James Harden defender, I started to feel the guilt of my duplicity. It makes me realize these OKC fans feel it as well. And with Harden, it was the case, that he did incredible things especially in the two years that culminated in his MVP season. Nobody is denying that Shai is great. We are pointing out that he is a flopping diva ruining the game.

But I also blame the NBA for allowing it. They should be fining superstars for this. Foul-baiting hurts the reputation of the league. In a different way than something like gambling, but there is certainly a huge negative impact.

Get this, it doesn't matter if a foul is blown or not. He looks ridiculous and nothing you say will stop people from clowning him

The guy is flopping 50% more than
JAMES HARDEN

SGA can dribble a basketball through a tornado but can’t keep his balance? Ok

The Spurs are trying to injure him by getting under his feet when he shoots. He's been falling away so he doesn't step on their feet. It's easy to spot if you look for it. His basketball IQ is on another level.

Yup. That chart is quite revealing.

A lot of words just to say that SGA is a flopping little beta bitch.

I think as we age, we also mature as fans. As a young Cowboys fan, I didn’t get care if Michael Irvin was a cocaine-fueled POS, so long as he scored TDs on Sunday. Now that I’m older, that would be a tougher pill to swallow.

Ditto for this situation in the NBA. Kicking out your legs on a 3 or doing the sweeping motion with your arms before shooting are bush league, but this SGA stuff is laughably bad. When Wemby flopped against Minny, I wasn’t going to defend it. It looks stupid. Just blindly supporting every single thing your teams do is something I’d expect out of a teenager.

These OKC fans don’t understand that it’s ok to acknowledge SGA’s greatness while understanding the flopping is a bit dramatic.

OKC fans

This is clearly a lie.

Why do y’all say it?

I’m begging y’all to educate yourselves.

quote:

Sliding or rolling after contact spreads the force across motion rather than forcing joints to absorb a hard vertical impact all at once. Players who brace awkwardly during contact are more prone to ankle rolls, knee twists, wrist injuries, and hyperextension injuries.

The idea is that Gilgeous-Alexander does not always fall because the contact is devastating. Sometimes, he may be choosing the safer landing instead of fighting physics in midair. While the visual frustrates opposing fans, the approach could help protect his ankles, knees and lower back over a long season.
