I know you were being snarky, but here is the all-time top ten in Total Zone Runs, regardless of position:

Rank Player (yrs, age) Total Zone Runs Throws
1. Brooks Robinson+ (23) 293 R
2. Andruw Jones (16, 34) 243 R
3. Mark Belanger (18) 241 R
4. Ozzie Smith+ (19) 239 R
5. Roberto Clemente+ (18) 205 R
6. Barry Bonds (22) 191 L
7. Carl Yastrzemski+ (23) 184 R
8. Cal Ripken+ (21) 181 R
9. Buddy Bell (18) 174 R
Paul Blair (17) 174 R

While I wouldn't vote for Hal Chase because of the whole dirty cheater thing... that's not a bad argument. 1st base was a far more important defensive position back then. But if we're going old timers, I vote for the Peerless Leader himself, Frank Chance.

canseco won a gold glove in west miami under 15 league. just bc he was 17 at the time should not taint his award

I like Carlton Fisk and all, but mandatory top ten? I don't see it.

Give me Yadi Molina. Very good arm contrasting to Pudge's epic arm, but Molina is without a doubt a better game-caller and better at handling pitchers.

Full disclosure... I'm a Cards fan, but those two guys are 1 and 1A in my lifetime.
