Kid got put in a rough spot. He has been committed to Michigan for a year and now all of a sudden Michigan is willing to throw out top money for a QB and it’s not him.

They need 2 QB’s. One to start next year while the freshman sits and learns then takes over.

Big Cat is talking like he'll lay out cash for a QB at Wisconsin as well.

What’s crazy is he’s playing against low tier talent in Michigan. He might be a great college player, but it’s not like he’s playing in 5a Louisiana high school or 6a Texas high school football. I remember hearing this equivalent to 2a ball in Louisiana. Very unproven

Tell me you don’t know how NIL works without telling me you don’t know how it works.

This isn’t money coming from the schools. This is rich boosters throwing cash around. Portnoy said recently he would write a blank check for Michigan to go get a QB…and here’s the result

Beginning in 25, Underwoods freshman season and first getting paid, it will be university money. The 20+ mil projection for top rosters will come directly from TV.
Like the farce myth that coaching staffs currently don't have any say in negotiations. It's bullshite. The group of guys directly responsible for evaluating, offering a scholarship, accepting a commitment and developing theses kids have no say in deciding to meet an offer for a kid they value? Yeah right. Who do you think decided not to pay Lance Heard starting LT money? Gordon? No, Brian Kelly did. If he had no say how did he reach that decision? He gets paid 10 mil a year he better be making those decisions. Even in the bizzaro world we live in currently, common sense has to prevail at some point. Don't believe everything the media tells you. 99% of it is bullshite. Even in sports.

LSU loves a dumb contract. shite we've probably offered 12 mill if Woodard is making the decision

Goes to show you just how much they been making off these players

Ehh..the Michigans and LSUs of the college football landscape have been working with boosters to buy players for the past 20+ years.

Only difference now is the NCAA had to publicly declare it legal, so now it’s out in the open for all to see.

I really don’t think Underwood is in it for the money. Sure in today’s world he wants to be paid but he has a true desire to play for LSU

let someone offer more and see how loyal he is......or any kid for that matter

Why not spend the same $$ on the best underclassmen QB at a small school with NFL traits who is already proven?

Who is this? Because QB’s with NFL traits go to P4 schools 99% of the time.

Didn't Portnoy say he was going to buy Michigan a QB?

Yes and that he would outbid everyone else. If this kid is smart he will go south.

And worth every penny. Cam was the best college QB IMO. Who else can lead a 28-point comeback against Nick Saban?
