Ok, I'm taking a step back after reading those quotes from the official. frick that dude. I'm all for speeding up play, but he was out to get someone this week. I'm with threeputt on that.

When a rule goes so unenforced for so long and you want to start enforcing it, you don't start with a foreign, 14 year old, amateur playing in his first tournament in the US. Hell, you don't start at the Master's where the field is small and slow play isn't going to delay the tournament. You start at places like Maui and the Honda Classic, etc. and you enforce it against professionals.
