The only closing in NW La. is Pines Rd. in Shreveport. That's where the rednecks live.

I wonder if these closings are just stand alone stores or "in a bigger store" stands. I assume it's the former. There are 4 Starbuck's on my main drag (Airline in Bossier City). The two stand alone shops are doing great. The one in Albertson's grocery is doing great. The one in Target has NO business at all.

The worst espresso by far is Books a Million...Joe Muggs...tastes like crap.

Starbucks in an abomination and I will be glad when they are gone. Coffee, at one point in time, cost the average joe about 50 cents a cup and these douchebags have convinced a sizable amount of morons that 4 bucks a cup is ok.

Care to post some proof that the turd in the pot tasting coffee that CC's puts out cost half the price of Starbucks. I pay $1.65 for my twice a month cup of coffee I get from Starbucks.

Seriously, several of the CC's in Baton Rouge are just filthy and their speed is a joke.

By the way, a medium cup of coffee at CC's costs $2.00 (it is $1.85 at Starbucks).

Starbucks was pretty dumb with expansion in BR. Some new stores were openned 1/4 of a mile from an existing one and the tryed to keep both open. That said some of the closures surprise me.

Starbucks is stupid for even trying to get into the BR market. Baton Rouge was already full of a great variety of coffee shops - both individual shops as well as local and regional chain shops. Coffee Call, Perks, CC's, to name a few. Plus Starbucks charges out the fricking arse.

I hadn't heard until I checked out the map, the new store here in Madison, MS is included in the closings. They have a stand in a Kroger about 1 mile or so away that appears to be staying open.

Exxon refinery doesn't. Apparently they don't make enough money to supply it.
