Around 7 a.m. ET, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures indicated a drop of less than 20 points at the open. Futures on the S&P and Nasdaq were both nearly flat.

Home Depot kept losses in check before the bell. The home improvement retailer reported better-than-expected earnings on Tuesday, sending its stock up 1% in the premarket. However, Home Depot warned tariffs could hit consumer spending and cut its full-year revenue outlook.

LINK

It’s also being stated DIS has overstated Park revenue to the tune of billions. Not looking good.

Yeah don’t hold your breath.

She claims park revenue is overstated by $8 billion in 2009.... they reported 10.6 billion from that segment in 2009. 75% overstatement by overstatement gift cards and golf? C’mon. You think nobody showed up to Disney parks in 2009?

Shenanigans of that level would be done well out of the purview of a basic financial analyst (that is not a high position of a pubco).

Time will tell ofcourse as the investigation takes place but this doesn’t pass the smell test

I’m on the verge of reporting you to the SEC for attempted market manipulation

ETA: and wouldn’t you know it, and right on time, market futures positive

I’ll hold off on reporting you, as you seem to be terrible at it anyway

Olewarskulealum flow chart:

Wake up; check CNBC premarket, if market is up, do nothing, if down;
see if theres a breaking news column painting a gloomy picture of market, if there is one, link it to tigerdroppings money board, if there isnt, do nothing; wait for tmrw.

How does 1 company allegedly overstating affect the entire market?

I'm a bear but if the markets can break 2940 here, we'll see 3040 in short order imo. Bears couldn't push below the August 6th low 2780 and made a higher low. at 2820. That's not a bearish trend, that's a bullish one. Markets are suggesting one more grind higher at least before we head down.

1. OleWarSkule starts a negative stock market thread.
2. Buy stocks immediately.
3. Market goes up.
4. Sell stocks.
5. Profit.

Just a reminder, it's August.
Check trading volumes, up or down, before attaching too much significance to a "trend".

Did Huss self-ban?

Respect him for that, at least. Serious discipline.

I’m pretty sure he was suspended by an admin. Husss threatened another poster (not me) one night and a few minutes later his avatar was gone and he hasn’t posted since.
