This stock is going to be ridiculously volatile the first month or two of trading.

Interesting that SATS and RKLB and other large holders of SPCX are down big this morning.
Especially with RKLB being added to the Nasdaq 100.

A little but that’s way overblown. The float is too small.

Interested to see the impact on Fidelity Contrafund. They’ve supposedly a big holder of SpaceX shares for years.

unless i was supposed to go in and affirm or whatever. never got notice though
Affirmation window, I believe, was between closing yesterday and early this morning. For me that was 3 pm central yesterday and maybe 7 am today???
I know that doesn't matter for you today, but if in the future you attempt more IPO purchases just be sure to check the IPO schedule tab in your Schwab profile for the account you are going to be using for the purchase attempt(s).

There’s about 8 trillion dollars in brokerage money market accounts.
None of this IPO has to be from selling other stocks.
I’m an example. I have sufficient funds in my money market accounts.

The IPO price is $135 but once it begins trading, I anticipate it will be higher at the start and then the roller/space coaster begins.

I'm referring to institutional investors raising money to buy into the SPCX IPO.
They don't park their cash in Charles Schwab money market accounts....
EDIT: An example of what I'm referring to is happening today.
META, TSLA, MSFT, AAPL, AMZN & even IBM are all down while the NASDQ, DOW30 & SPX are all up. This will settle down but it will take a few days.

The SpaceX woman President/COO isn't impressive. Good thing Elon runs the show.

They have 4.78 trillion in money market accounts
They make up 60% of cash in money market accounts.

Elon Musk IS SPCX and TSLA.
Imagine what would happen to their stock prices if a deranged Dem assassinated him.
EDIT: The last time a company was so dependent on one person's persona was Steve Jobs at Apple in the 1980s. The BOD fired him in a power struggle with the CEO (Sculley) over Jobs legendary perfectionist management style and APPL almost went bankrupt. So the Apple Board came to its senses and brought Jobs back into the company and the iMac, iPod, iPhone & iPad happened.

The money market on the sidelines narrative has been around for a while.
Candidly I have no idea who’s got the bulk cash but I do know a majority of the money is not idly waiting to deploy into stocks.
It gives me confidence that any future economic problems will have some downside buffer. Corporations are reasonably well capitalized.
