The funny thing is that if you took advantage of the dip last April because you believed people were over-reacting to Trump's posterboard threats you made out like a bandit. A year later, here we are again. You might ask yourself if you believe the market is over-reacting again.
I'm glad I react to market pricing and not anything in the news cycle. It's a zero-validity environment.

I bought on the dip last year and it paid off well. I did run out of ammo so it took longer for me to recover and profit. I don't see any reason to sit on the sideline this time so purchased more shares in an S & P index fund yesterday with about 30% of my available ammo.
Would I buy more if it dropped to about 5930, which is about 15% off the highest closing date? Talk about an incredibly buying opportunity.
It is not for everyone but I feel that most investors should should at minimum be purchasing stock in an S & P Index fund in small monthly amounts. Upon my understanding the annual return has been 10.6 % since 1957.

Started buying yesterday. A little TSLA, NVDA, VGT, SCHG, SLI, NVO. Watching some utilities, MSFT, AMZN. MSFT looking mighty tempting. And WMT. People sleep on it, but l loaded up on it a few years back at like $117/share before the 3 for 1 split and got my mom 2000 shares. It's done well.

Too early for me for a long term hold. A counter trend rally could be in cards this week. If we get it, I usually keep that trade simple by buying index etfs. Generally, I’m in capital protection mode now.

The greatest generation (the boomers) rationed food and planted victory gardens to save our greatest ally back in the day and now you millennials (worst generation) whine about losing a few percent and paying a few cents more for gas to save our greatest ally
Sad. Y’all need to read the bible

I'm adding a little. Anticipating some bargains tomorrow. I don't think we've bottomed yet, but not gonna be greedy. Taking profits from O&G to deploy elswhere.

I transferred my 3/21/26 shares of S & P Index back to the "Stable Value" option yesterday. Not perfect timing, of course, but good enough to turn a handsome profit of 7.01% of my risk. Would I buy more shares if the S & P index drops back to the 6300 category? Absolutely.
Now if SLI would just make us right.

This April is my best month on record

Geopolitics is so unpredictable these days the stock market essentially ignores it if there's anything positive it can glean onto (like strong earnings).

Always fun pointing out when the negative people in the world were wrong.

I always get a chuckle out of these "gotcha" posts that we all lKNOW won't end well...
Tigers Baseball, election results, and stock market posts. Make a bold post, wait a bit, and then eat crow...

I literally said "so far" in the title
I then followed up a few posts later saying I knew the markets would get pumped.
I bought the dips.
Commenting on market downturns doesn't have to be a "gotcha"

Oh, you are trying to use a "get out of jail" card.
Not going to work.
