Look baw, I'm invested in several of the indexes. I want them to go up

I never really panic on dips. I always have a little dry powder to take advantage of them

The S & P Index increased significantly in the last two sessions since you wrote this.

With your freed cash, pay some of your debt off, if you have any.

It is not for everyone, as I have said before, but if the Index drops about 8% from its highest close, I would buy and sell it when it returns. Save some bullets and purchase more at a drop of 12-13%, and lastly about 18% if it happens. It will return at some point to its previous high at some point.

Nasdaq and S&P made all time highs and the Dow is only a few hundred points away.

These threads have always backfired at a 100% clip. It’s really silly

Yawn.

I'm on the first page saying the markets will get pumped.

*would you just look at that*

"The economic impact from this war" thread is more of what you're looking for.

ETA: S&P is only up 3.9% YTD.. My Roth is up 14%. My trading account is up considerably more (Mostly thanks to HGRAF)

I’m up 6% YTD and 25% the past 12 months on my brokerage account.

2.6% YTD and 16% the past 12 months on my work 401k. My company stock has been kicking my arse this year.

Well done.

Now, obviously I was talking about the main indexes in the OP.

This board has some weird hard-on for this thread like I said everything was doomed or something. If we are being honest it's because of the 50k Dow remark.

My biggest gainer from the full last year isn't in a trading account (outside of a couple of miners)

Used this run to go net free on my physical silver(average cost in the teens). I'm still sitting on quite a bit of that cash though. Not sure what to do with my hands there just yet tbh.

Congrats!
You're outperforming the S&P ~400%/yr?
At that ROI, you should open your own Wall St firm.

Seriously!
Beating the S&P 3-4x/yr, you'd be a very rich man, very quickly.

I'm not a savant. The main driver holding up my Roth YTD is a PALL stock play. I bought a big chunk when it was bottoming around the $90's and sold 3/4 of the position when it was at $170.. Wish I had bought more looking back, but thems the breaks.

I'm fairly vanilla most of the time in my retirement account. In my trading account I'm good at following other people's leads.

Shoot, we need Naked Bootleg above to throw us some potential plays it looks like.

Not sure what my YTD is and all that but last week's run put my brokerage account into the 7 figures for the first time. I opened the account in Feb 2013 (thanks to this board) and 13 years and 2 months later I've achieved something I never dreamed was possible!

How much did you start with?

$14K was my first transaction. I had a HYSA with my bank and they reduced the balance they would pay interest on, so I had an “extra” $14K that wasn’t making any money.

I started late in life, now playing catch up. If I described my strategy here or any other finance forum, I'd be laughed out of the room and get called every synonym of 'idiot' in Webster's Dictionary. You guys are doing it the right way, keep it up
