How is this a legal contract? It stated that it was to be 75% EV and 25% other. The Oshkosh vehicle was an internal combustion engine

Damn, so this is what being buttfricked with no lube feels like

Anyone buying $OSK??

THCB (Microvast SPAC) is the play. Supplying OSK with their batteries.

Wondering if it makes sense to buy a bit here to soften the blow a bit, assuming of course it rebounds off the bad news. But who the hell knows at this point.

He said this was his largest holding last week. Im excited that I'll be paying attention this time when he comes around and lets us know his play to get all his money back

But really, sorry for anyone who was big in WKHS. At least it looks like a good time to buy the dip if youre long. Already up a few dollars.

On the bright side, at least I don’t have to hold cruise and oil stocks that are up waiting for one year to pass. I will have enough losses from this and bitcoin to last the whole year and then some.

If it double bottoms tomorrow I may buy back a bit and average down. But if this thing is going to 0, no sense in losing more. I know that AT felt this was a near 3 figure stock without the contract, but we'll see. It also feels like there's a new EV player entering the market every day...

I guess on a positive note, per this article, is that this contract to Oshkosh was only the part part of it valued at only 482 million.

Maybe there's still a chance workhorse gets some of it?

"The U.S. Postal Service awarded the first part of the 10-year, multi-billion dollar contract for modernization of the postal delivery vehicle fleet to Oshkosh Defense. The initial investment will be $482 million"

I believe that’s misleading. From the PR release...

quote:

The award is an indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, meaning that after an initial dollar commitment, the Postal Service will have the ongoing ability to order more NGDV over a fixed period of time, in this case,10 years.

The initial investment is for the design and build up of production facilities for OSK. They’ll then begin paying for actual vehicle production from OSK. OSK appears to be getting the whole enchilada.

530 @ $24.11 checking in. I would think/hope we all knew this was a definite possibility. I at least thought I had the Ford hedge in place, but it hasn’t moved.
