Enough to cover bills, the rest invested in stocks or my house.

Was in med school, so anywhere between 12k and $50 depending on the time of year.
Worked full time seasonally since 16yo and part time through college with full scholarship, but it was still a struggle in July and December until those loan checks came in. It's nearly impossible to work during med school.

Saw on Fox Business that 44% of 24 year olds in America have $700 or less in their bank account.
I had less than that. Was making $22k a year in orange county, cali.

About $8 more than rent. 2008 was a hell of a time to graduate college.

Roughly 20k. I was making decent money 2 years out of college and was living cheap. My bills at that point were 300/mo rent living with my brother, $300 car note, $100 phone.
Then I proceeded to buy an engagement ring

I started the year with about $4,000.00 I saved during my 4 years in the Navy, ended with about $1000.00.What happened was I was in college on G.I. Bill and in the reserves and I got hepatitis so I had to drop out.So I had no income, survived on savings. This was 1974,$1000.00 worth about $5,500 in 2020 dollars.
I was in V.A. hospital 2 weeks but able to go back next semester.

I probably kept about $1000 in the bank and a couple thousand cash in my nightstand. I worked for tips, so I always had cash.

I think I spent every dollar I made until I was 25 on bar tabs and drugs.

Not much at all, didn’t start working until a month before my 25th birthday.

I had student loans. Farted around for a few years and earning a couple degrees put me graduating (For good) at 26. 40k savings after 3 years is defiantly impressive, but no where near impossible.

More than 700. Probably 3-5k

Jokes aside, if you graduate from college on schedule you're already 22. So you basically had last year and then the pandemic hit.
