There was the bargain chance.
Nevermind thought there'd be more of a bounce, it fell quick.

Today’s bounce was likely connected to GM’s $650M investment in LAC, not the press release. A rising tide lifts all boats.

Last time it did this was a very nice ride. I enjoyed it so much I forgot to take profits.

Not sure what is going on but hope it does not repeat yesterday. It was looking really good and sold off at the end of trading for a very small gain. Would be nice if it holds gains today. I guess there could have been some profit taking yesterday.

No expert, but I would think that uptick yesterday got some short sellers butt-puckered.

Looking back to a 2022 article that points to the potential growth for SLI. Lanxess, SW Ark and expanding their own resources. Hydroxide and Carbonate are both on the table. Koch’s assistance with construction issues and analyzing methods to minimize costs. A pilot plant that has been running continuously to test the process. There are so many positive indicators in this article.

Is SLI just being a good citizen testing the CO2 capture? Or is there money to be made from the captured CO2?

Only monetary value in it has to do with perception, the CO2 itself is nearly worthless.
You can sell yourself or product as being more carbon neutral than others, thus the monetary value in perception.

there's the IRS 45Q $85/ton tax credit
used to be $50/ton, rumored to go up to $120/ton

I suppose along the lines of being a “tech” company, SLI could sell the technology if it is lower cost, since they are testing a novel process.

The CO2 capture isn't worth much except as PR, but it draws attention for the greens who are afraid of their gas stove.

I wonder if it gives any further qualification points to achieve a government grant though?

Telescope Innovations presentation mentions commercial manufacturing of Aqualung’s carbon capture materials and bridging the gap between the discovery of innovative new materials and their commercial deployment. Cutting edge research. I wish them much success. (and hope SLI gets a slice of the pie)
