Damn I’m almost in the exact boat as you. Bonus was sweet with a 1.6 bonus multiplier, but the 3.5% raise was a little bit of a let down.

I can only imagine what a 1.6 multiplier would be like. I’m grateful if we get 1x payout. Our metrics to achieve bonus are quite challenging.

Ours was 4% . But that’s a pool. Some got 3% others got 5%.

Guess most of us are in the same boat. At least I'm not alone.

The best way to get a good bump in pay is to change companies. My wife has made jumps of 25% to 35% each time. Not to mention the bonus gets better or stays the same with the % of base

I think at a certain point in your career that stops being as lucrative unless you're jumping up in position, like manager to director or whatever.

I'm 25 years in at this point. I value stability over a little more money now.

Raise was 5.0%

My bonus percentage is 20% and since we did well, the business factor was 194% and my individual factor was 100% + stock options/RSUs

Cant complain.. we had a good year..

Exactly. Early in career, chase money and position. As you climb and age, security, stress and many other factors at play. Also knowing what you are worth based on market helps.

I can't imagine the cost, stated above, of me jumping for a 25-35% jump

Nobody outside of NYC, SF and Seattle would pay me 35% more than I make now and my housing costs would triple.

Meh. 4% but company payout was 148% of target so that's nice. Pays out next paycheck.

I got a promotion that came with a 30% increase. I was already doing the work required for the new job for the most part and someone left and there was an official position for me to apply to. I was shocked when they offered me a 25% raise and almost didn't negotiate for the other 5%. The hiring manager laughed when I asked for the other 5% and said he gets it and gave it to me. Bonus in the new position jumped from 8% to 12% also.

Merit increase for the year came in at 3% in addition to the increase I just got.

I've been with the company for 18 years in August so this was the catchup from all the prior years of mostly 3% increases.

My company doesn't do our reviews until August. Got a 6.1% raise with 3.1% bonus. Would love to get a bigger bonus but don't think that's really an option with current role.

I expect another 5-8% raise this August as that has been the case the last 3 years.

3.8% crappy? Interesting.

Imo, yes that is crappy for a hard worker

You are WAY out of touch with reality if you think 3.8% is "Crappy"

Thats definitely well above average. There are so many companies that almost never give anything and bog standard is going to be more in the 2-3% range.

If you got a 3.8% raise every year from job start date, lets say you started making $50k 20 years ago, you'd be just over $100k today. Thats a pretty healthy increase (for doing same job). More than doubling your pay over 20 years for same job would be considered quite good.

I’m 100% commission. I’ve been getting a raise every year due to inflation.

At least I get to keep up with it a tad bit.
