How many schools have 11 sports in top 25? That is what Alleva is responsible for.

Christ.......... he's managed to make LSU look like a fricking clown show time after time anytime the slightest bit of turmoil comes up. He's a clown and you're a clown. GTFO.

we have seen no real evidence of this happening though. we need more notable alumni and boosters to speak out. otherwise it's just people complaining on the internet.

One of the biggest donors has already publicly spoken about his dissatisfaction with the currebt administration.

How many NACDA Directors Cups to show for that?

I’ll give you a hint: it’s a number between -1 and 1.

Solid contribution. I’ll be sure and bump this thread when Wade is gone and Alleva is extended? People are acting like it’s so outlandish, but has the university given us any reason to think otherwise? They’re entirely out of touch.

Which is why I don’t really care about LSU sports anymore. It’s obvious the administration isn’t concerned with winning, so I’m not concerned with supporting them.

As I said before. I love have my weekends free now during football season.

It seems to me that the right people in this state ($$$) have been thoroughly pissed off for quite some time now and it's beginning to come to a head. There is more than likely ALOT going on behind the scenes right now from very important people that have a by say so in how things like this go. Change is imminent in the world, it's the one constant. I can feel it coming. Deep down in ma plums.

There needs to be more. There are several that have 100K automatically donated from their checking account every month. Till those kind of folks step up and say enough is enough and will not donate a single penny until Alleva and King are gone.

Alleva is here to stay, unfortunately. Also, so is F King, do you guys not understand that presidents of universities are not typically removed over trivial things like the head basketball coach MAYBE offering money to a player.

Agree 100%

Sad to say I agree. If the mishandling of the Duke lacrosse episode didn't get this coward fired, I am afraid we are stuck with him

Its like Roger Goddell. You can hate him all you want but his job is to make money. As long as we are semi successful and we are making money it is hard for them to get rid of him.

Presidents of Universities are typically removed for trivial things like butting heads with state officials. Remember how Lombardi was ousted?

But I do agree the FKA should be removed for athletics-related issues. He has overseen a lot of capital projects at the University (Many were in place before he arrived), and enrollment is up. I think his whole schtick was to increase out-of-state enrollment, and he's done that. That said, he was universally unliked from the start and that's probably due to the role Jindal had in the whole matter. Also, based purely on the term lengths of previous presidents and chancellors at the school, he probably has fewer years ahead than he does behind him.

What F. King has going for him is the fact that LSU keeps breaking records in academic enrollment and the average ACT scores of entering freshman are at an all time high (it was 26 last fall and will be higher this fall) despite the "holistic" approach to admissions.

Those are key metrics for any university president. Increase quantity and quality. You can disagree with the "holistic" approach to admissions but it's difficult to argue with the results. The results have been very good for LSU.

The bane of F. King's tenure are the Our Lady of the Lake Foundation situation, the Veterinary School situation and the Joe Alleva situation.

But let's be honest, the OLOL situation and Veterinary School situation wouldn't even be a blip on the radar if the Joe Alleva debacle was managed better.
What about the contention that FQA is very bad at fundraising, another key metric, if not the biggest?

This OP was a strawman. No one is arguing that the WW situation in a vacuum is what might get Alleva and/or FQA run. But, yes, they've managed (particularly Alleva) to somehow further illustrate just how spectacularly poor their leadership is.

So what you are saying is that the quality of high school education through out the nation is getting better and the primary reason LSU's quality and quantity of students is getting better is due to that fact and not necessarily anything F King is doing?

I'm sure the cause is complex and multi-faceted. But it's up to F. King to at least see to it that LSU holds serve academically. We aren't. We're falling behind. If the brain trust in charge of LSU can't figure out how to fix it, it's time for a new brain trust.

The points for removing Joe and F. King have already been discussed. The fact that a major booster is publically voicing his opinion should be a concern for them as well as the governor. There is no way that those with the authority to remove these clowns are not in touch with the situation.

Considering the OLOL, University High and fraternity scandals, and the fact that LSU’s academic standing and monetary donations have decreased since King has been in charge puts King in a bad position.

Joe is screwed either way. If Will is fired for cause, then he wasn’t properly vetted prior to being hired and it will be considered the third bad hire Joe has made for the program. If Will is cleared, then will be viewed as not having his coach’s back.

All this in addition to the shite show we witnessed regarding the Miles/Orgeron debacle and the threat of bankruptcy while building a $100,000,000 lazy river will pretty much be the nail in the coffin for both in my opinion.

I believe the most effective & efficient use of this board is to direct comments to Richard Lipsey. He is a great supporter of LSU & puts considerable time in toward LSU.

“ things are going just fine”

10-3, 5-3, 5th in the SEC, and 63-10 vs Bama in our last 3 games is a far cry from “just fine” by any LSU football standard that I am aware of, but each to our own.

If Joe has to hire his fourth basketball coach because his last choice got LSU placed under some type of NCAA sanctions, anyone thinking that just fine is the freaking delusional one. imo
