re: You’re delusional if you think Alleva is going anywhere

You are truly an idiot if you think Alleva survives this, that's the whole reason he is making these asinine comments to the media, he's trying to save face for his next job. No major college AD gets to hire FOUR basketball coaches in 11 years, he's gone.

That simply isn’t true

I would refer you to a previous post of mine in this thread pointing out the Rantards who think that the basketball coach situation will get FKA removed. I understand other matters of concern around the president, the point of the thread is pointing out people who think FKA and JA will be removed because of the WW situation.

What F. King has going for him is the fact that LSU keeps breaking records in academic enrollment and the average ACT scores of entering freshman are at an all time high (it was 26 last fall and will be higher this fall) despite the "holistic" approach to admissions.
Those are key metrics for any university president. Increase quantity and quality. You can disagree with the "holistic" approach to admissions but it's difficult to argue with the results. The results have been very good for LSU.
The bane of F. King's tenure are the Our Lady of the Lake Foundation situation, the Veterinary School situation and the Joe Alleva situation.
But let's be honest, the OLOL situation and Veterinary School situation wouldn't even be a blip on the radar if the Joe Alleva debacle was managed better.
IMO, if WW can be reinstated by May, Joe Alleva retires in July and F. King and the BOS appoints a new AD, F. King will be forgotten for the most part.

And yet we keep drastically dropping in all academic rankings every year and he's infuriated the majority of alumni over countless issues.

Yup, while our class profiles are improving, we're not keeping up with our peer institutions academically. We aren't keeping up with the Joneses.

But maybe if we say it 10 million times and demand it on a message board it'll happen right?

oooooooh, high stakes.

Football is the biggest cash cow and things are going just fine there.
Alleva does not coach football. his existence has no bearing. Also, hes a public relations nightmare.

Also, so is F King, do you guys not understand that presidents of universities are not typically removed over trivial things like the head basketball coach MAYBE offering money to a player.
how about $400k salaries for employees who dont go to work or how about accepting $800k of embezzled money that was meant to be a donations to cure illnesses?
does that qualify?
Posted on 3/22/19 at 9:01 am to pellietigersaint
People here seem to take that seriously, so why not?

So what you are saying is that the quality of high school education through out the nation is getting better and the primary reason LSU's quality and quantity of students is getting better is due to that fact and not necessarily anything F King is doing?

Money talks, if the boosters stop giving money to LSU he’s gone. End of story
Posted on 3/22/19 at 9:03 am to JumpingTheShark
Alleva and F King are as good as gone. When guys like Richard Lipsey, Jim Flores, and Jim Bernhardt start holdin out on their $10mil plus donations, which is what is happening now, the cards will fall rather quickly. I don’t care how liberal/Dem the BOS is and how much JBE likes F King, money talks, bullshite walks!

Your not donating $50 a year to the school isn’t going to do a damn thing, I’m sorry.
It’s not his $50 F(uc)King needs to be worried about.
It’s Richard Lipsey’s $5,000,000.

I’m pretty sure that the general opinion among alumni is not quite as negative as it is on TD
Posted on 3/22/19 at 9:09 am to JumpingTheShark
his contract ends next year. Doubt he'd be retained tbh

Sure there is. Stop going to games. I did. Best damn thing I’ve done in a long time. Now my weekends are free during football season.

Timetable for ban bet? This board needs to cleanse itself from posters like the OP.

No. But the big boys (many of whom are pissed at Alleva and want him gone) not donating will definitely hurt.

don't bother. people don't honor ban bets on here. and they're not enforced.
