Stingley is literally the best player on the team, an upper classman, a kid who is a LSU homer, and a kid who comes from a great family.
There is zero chance that LSU loses Stingley because of emotional fans. You are way more emotional than you are pretending he is. Stingley is better than you.
Now, is it possible he decides that, minus a season in which LSU has something big to play for, it's in his best interest to hang it up for the draft? Yes ,that's possible.
But, only people like you who need the validation of calling people out and blaming them will think it was the result of fans.

Stingley opted out in January 2020, he just didn't make it official.

He already did that Saturday night when he started tackling with one arm like a Jr. High player... That "I am not going to hurt myself for this" form has dollar signs written all over it. I hope the NFL is watching for the second year.

I think this is the reality. The fact is when a player wears 7 and is also considered a leader on this team, it comes with scrutiny, especially from rabid fans on social media and a message board. If this is really bothering him that much, god forbid he gets drafted by a team in a major market.

If I was an NFL executive seems like a guy who gets criticized and then plays angry to prove people wrong is a much more attractive player than one who is criticized and decides to quit.

Stingley Sr. Is proving why we are critical of his son and him. Threatening the fan base that he will pull him away if they criticize him, because we are idiots and we don't know football.
Well if Stingley can't practice maybe we would all be better if he took him away and maybe someone with something to prove would get on the field.
