An offer for him to come in and compete for a starting position, to choose his academic path and get the best support possible. Unless there are details about $$$$ this is all BS.

a lot of the kids come from poor backgrounds, they need money to live and eat, it's a simply reality of American demographics...
a full ride doesn't really include all the expenses....

the real problem is the NCAA making literal BILLIONS of dollars on backs of world class athletes and not allowing them to be fairly compensated
$50K in annual scholarship costs is not the market value for athletes of a certain caliber. The NCAA is illegally suppressing real wages by not allowing universities to negotiate in good faith.

Dawkins is obviously going scorched earth in his defense, so don't you think if he had the smoking gun phone call we would have heard about it by now?
I suspect there's a bunch of vague "offers" on these phone calls, but nothing conclusive.
Now, the question is, is there other evidence of money changing hands? If so, Wade is screwed. If not, I don't see how anything we know was said on the phone calls to this point is conclusive evidence that a violation occurred.

It’s always suspicious to me when an okay program all of a sudden starts getting better recruits and all of a sudden becomes a top-10 caliber team.
I’ve been suspicious of Clemson Football ever since they became juggernauts. Clemson was a nobody for a hundred years and all of a sudden they’re a college football dynasty.
